I suspect a lot of guys have reduced incomes, and that is giving them some problems with low self-esteem. I've become pretty much self-contained these days, and I don't post much any more because of the stupidity of most posters. This is a comment on other industries, and not on this board or the casino biz btw.

    Thumbs down

Thats the nature of the beast ... really it is, and theres not much any of us can do about it as individuals!

I said this the other day and its fitting here as well ... as long as the "community" chooses to ignore the intrinsic consequences of nourishing cash farms it will continue to be at the heart of every issue this industry agonizes over!

Just a bit ago I read some threads where one entity was going off on another because they thought the later entity had stepped on their toes by covering a topic which they already cover. The issue led to numerous threads and posters taking jabs at each other, drawing lines in the sand, and taking sides.

WTF? Really? Does anyone really own exclusive rights to RE-publish - already readily available materials, or otherwise for that matter? Give me a break!

That attitude of self-entitlement is the essence of the self righteous BS thats restricted the commonality of this sector of the industry for far too long!

Unless you're JTodd, who's Perspectives Weekly says... "JOIN THE FIGHT!"

    Just kidding... LOL

I think all of this fighting is ridiculous. I dont' want to post about subjects or in threads where this type of thing is taking place. Epecially once I realize it wasn't just one post or two where someone had something to say that was a bit sharp, but an entire thread that goes on and on with the attacking, bickering, b.s.

I hate conflict anyway. And I certainly don't come to the forums to get involved in that kind of drama.

As far as taking sides goes.. that's total B.S. too. Who's to say who's side is right and who's is wrong. We all have our own views and opinions, and we shouldn't have to break up a community because we're forced to take sides. That taking sides stuff really pisses me off.

I dont know about you all, but I personally am too busy for those threads. I feel they add nothing personally nor to my business and I outright ignore them. If I feel I have insight (not incite!) I add my two cents, but have many times erased a typed response to avoid fanning the flames on a pointless topic.

While I recognize some civil discussion and disagreement is how we learn to innovate, I find most of that discussion to be nothing more than personal attacks and pompous arrogance from individuals who fail to compromise because they think they are always right.

And you know, too many of us fail to accept that even the best of us make mistakes. We either didn't have the facts or just made the wrong choice... we learn and move on.

To a point, I agree with those who think there should be no fighting or bickering in the forums.

    But....

When a program, company or person is lying, cheating, scamming, bullying or stealing from me, our members or our industry in general, someone has to speak out. There will always be conflict, disagreements, arguments and sometimes there will be flaming. It's human nature.

In a perfect world there would be no rogue programs, no scrapers, no spammers, no Cardspike type of scams, no Grand Prive's, no conferences where CAP was still profiting .....

In a perfect world we could all get along, make tons of cash and all be friends. Trouble is - the world isn't perfect.

If you're gonna use double and trouble in the same sentence, you gotta make it rhyme.

This is getting to the point that it is senseless to be a member at any aff. forum or organization when you can't even talk or discuss something old or new without people getting bent out of shape, choosing sides, splitting up into clicks...its ridiculous...

I love this community of affiliates and was at one time proud to be a part of it...but lately its become nothing but yelling, accusing, insulting and just plain mean.

I wish everyone would just work together "for real" and stop all the "in" fighting amongst ourselves...i am ashamed to have a "new" member come into any of these sites and see everyone acting like babies.

I think i will plug BB1's and my site right now....Gambling affiliate place...there is NO in fighting...no mud slinging..no name calling....no crap period! Just a nice relaxed family atmosphere like it should be and thats the way it will stay. Stop by some time!

Unfortunately, it all comes down to one word, "greed".
