The "embedded" smileys are actually tags which don't display correctly in most bulletin boards LOL.

unfortunately, that is the type of crap that MS Word and sometimes FrontPage generates for tags. To avoid them you probably have to use a code block instead of a quote

Actually, it's just html tags period, and the board's built in interpretation of those.

Anytime you post an "8" with ")" behind it, the board inerprets it as

2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)

9)
10)

See?

The tongue sticking out is the board's interpretation of ":" and "p".

And yes, if you use the CODE button in the posting menu, it'll override it and keep the code pure.

True - I was referring to that particular instance, which is a tag never used by anyone but M$ LOL.
