    Default Silver Sands Casino

    Hi there,
What is wrong with the Silver Sands Casino (www.silversandscasino.net) software. Apparently if anybody is using broadband it wont let you download the software, play or signup. Only if you have dialup! now probably 0.5% of my players are on dialup!!! Silver Sands never replied to my emails with corrent answers either.

Let me know if anybody has issues with them...

Default Silver Sands Blacklisted at The Online Casino Gambling Directory

I know this is kind of an old thread, but wanted to post a public warning about Silver Sands Casino....

On 07 Mar 08, Silver Sands Casino was blacklisted at The Online Casino Gambling Directory for non-responsiveness and non-payment. Read more at the blacklist if you are interested, or contact me directly.

Having nothing to do with a blacklist, I would think that the download is not possible due to them doing an ip check and not allowing the download to a US based IP.

It might be possible that it doesn't happen to catch it from a dial-up as often the radius or dial-up servers are listed in different dns servers.

Their responsiveness to US Affiliates has certainly not been what it used to be before they left the US.

    Hi Rick,

The reason for blacklisting Silver Sands at The Online Casino Gambling Directory has nothing to do with not being able to download their software. Silver Sands was blacklisted for:
Non-payment: I am owed money as of the end of February 2008.
Non-responsiveness: Issues that were contained in repeated emails since January 2008 have gone unaddressed.

(By the way -- Not being able to download casino software in restricted juristictions, if that is the case, is a positive thing in my book!)

This Casino has had a bad reputation for many years.
-I do not understand why anyone would promote such foul operation.

In case anyone is interested... I've written about this topic -- how it is that certain sites that have bad reputations get promoted at gaming portals such as mine.

(Schankwart, I know that you are aware of that thread, since I wrote it (in part) as a response to a similar comment that you made about BingoVega.)

I appreciate your concerns, Robert. You are doing the right thing by dumping the bad operations, so let it be a lesson for many others.

It might be a matter of interest to point up their quality if I mention that, in spite of their no longer playing to the US, they still manage to send me at least two advertiser spams a week encouraging me to play.

I have never had a player account with them - was just one of their webmaster affiliates. It must have just been plain good old luck that I was paid out before they absconded.

Are you still owed money? well if you are thats probably because you dont own a South African bank account? The new law passed in SA is that to gamble on South African Casinos (Well on Silver Sands) you HAVE to have a South African Bank account for payout. Otherwise you wont receive any money. I have helped a few people out already who live abroad, I request payout into my SA bank account and they do a wire into yours or pay via paypal (or card) If you would like something like this done for you please dont hesitate to give me a shout.

Otherwise I am an affiliate with silver sands and ive never had problems with payouts, the only problems i have had is support response, i never really seem to get a reply, and if i do its not what I asked for. They should just fix that up then your casino experience should be flawless. (If you have a SA Bank account :P) - I will inform them to state this in the registration form for new players so this doesnt happen in the future.

    Anyway, laters.

Lyall, While I am sure your offer of help will be appreciated , as far as I know the Silversands Dollar version is no longer owned by the Silversands South Africa crowd. As far as I know Mike sold the Dollar version and Powerbet but I may be wrong

I sure appreciate the offer to do a payout to you, and then you make a payout to me. I'll let you know if I want to take you up on that.

Regarding the SA law that you refer to , if this was the case, then I would have expected this information to be given to me by the casino. But, as I expected, they are non-responsive and have not address the issue of payment.

I'm leaving the casino on my blacklist rather than risk players getting the same poor treatment as I have.

I would leave it on blacklist as well, they really need to do something about the way they opperate. But for South African Players, generally there is no problem in the software and payouts so i am not really complaining, I get paid on time too. Anyway, if you need help or anybody else for that matter dont hesitate to contact me, always willing to help.

    Have a Great Easter Weekend!
