Default Site re-design / SEO pointers?

    Hi all,

First off, sorry about the dual subject line. I've spent the last couple of months doing a heavy re-design of my affiliate website and would like to get some feedback and (eventually) work on some link-exchanges. I've spent the last several months just coding and working on design of the site and feel that I'm almost ready to start SEO and marketting (which I've done minimally to this point). If you click around the pages you'll see that some of them need optimization and content updates... but most are fleshed out well (I think).

So far I've had a lot of fun actually coding, researching, and designing the site. Now I actually want to see if I can make a little extra $$$ for all my effort. I'm getting about 5-15 people a day from search engines... which is WAY low, but it's a start, especially considering I have yet to put in much SEO effort. Any pointers out there for a newbie on the BEST way to rank higher in searches? I've read a lot about SEO... but I don;t know if there are any sure-fire ways to rank higher (that are honest-ways) that most SEO discussions don't tell you about. Thanks to everyone for reading my rambling in this post and thanks in advance for checking out my site.

    Hi CasinoDawg,
your website looks good, i just don't like all that java scripts on the menu.
Try to add some bold fonts and tags like h1, h2, h3 in the body.

Also tell people why they should become members of your community, write all the advantages and benefits they can have signing in...

    Best Regards,

Thanks for the feedback. My problem is that I'm not the best with writting content (or "copy" in the marketting world). On the registration page I tried to list some points as to why people should sign-up. I think I may try doing a bulleted-list or something so it's more attention grabbing.

The menu is using the built-in ASP.NET 2.0 menu control, which does use javascript. I decided to go with a pull-down menu since I didn't really want to clutter my main content areas with a gigantic menu structure in a left-pane (I had tried in an earlier version and didn't like the results). Navigation is always tricky since there are draw backs to most implementations.

Again, thanks for the feedback. If anyone else has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I still consider the site to be a "Beta", so there is plenty of time for me to improve on it. Thanks.
