Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a month or so, it's an interesting forum.
Hopefully more interesting once I qualify to join the private section!

I have a new site, Bonus Betting, which is aimed at the UK Sports Betting Market.

I've pretty much finished the development for now and I'm in the process of adding content. There might be a few broken links but would you mind taking a look?

I'd be really interested to hear your comments and/or advice - especially from people who have achieved decent conversions!

I'm also keen to find partners for exchanges and other white hat links.

Your site looks nice... The appearance is a little plain, but this is not necessarily a bad thing... It looks quite easy to navigate which is very important for visitors. My site has a similar layout...Easy clean design and easy to navigate...

I like your site too and it is a little plain but it doesnt seem to matter that much because you have a whole lot of content and options for your clients! The red and the white go together really good!

You could maybe think about adding some banners or videos or something, but that's your call, it all depends on the direction you want to take your site in! I like you offer the Oscar odds and other cool option(betting calculator,odds converter,etc).

Overall its a well made site with a lot of potential!

I like what you have done on the main page, with the offers displayed in a much easier to see way than most of the UK free bets sites.

Cant really see too big a reason why someone would register or log in, so i think thats a big challenge for you. If you can work that out and capture a decent percentage of the traffic which lands there, that will be good long term. Whether you can do that just to form a mailing list or in a way that builds a community on the forum, im not sure but either or both ways is what i would work on next.

The difficulty we have had is balancing that with the natural want to send traffic straight on to bookies and start earning some decent money. So this i guess depends on how you are going to focus on gaining your traffic and which is easier. ie. can you build a community/mailing list and then send that traffic regularly to your free bets page. Or can you send traffic direct to your free bets page and get some of that over to a community/list.

I dont think anyone has been particularly successful the second way round - not in UK for sports traffic anyway.

Very nice, I prefer mostly white looking sites, they are better on your eyes. If I had to pick anything that could improve the site I would suggest a proper logo to brand yourself with but that is about it.

I like the middle part on the home page the, "Bonus Betting - Compare Free Bet Offers" How was that made?

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the feedback.

I will look at logos, adding pictures, and cosmetic changes to the site in the future, but I'm going to concentrate on getting plenty of good content uploaded to begin with.

Agree with richard, what is the purpose of the login form? Although in overall, the site is good in terms of its appearance. The thing you need in here is to generate traffic and a few clean up.

Hi cassy, members currently need to log in to post on the forum and to comment on tips/previews/content.

However, you're both right, I will have to look at what else I can offer members to attract sign-ups.

I'm considering getting some PPC traffic to test conversions, if I can get the price low enough. I wouldn't expect a profit but it would be nice to have a benchmark to work against.

There will be a fair bit of content added over the next few weeks.

If anyone has any proposals for links, please let me know.

Excellent job for your first site. Bravo!! I'm truly impressed with its clean and simple layout, i love this sort. And very user-friendly as well. Should definitely keep the log in i think. Feels good when the user can comment and participate on your site. i'm new here and now i'm thinking i need to have one of those for my site. cheers!

I really like the design. It's simple and straight to the point; feels reputable.

The only thing messing up the look is the shading underneath the star rating images. You could remove the shadow or just display the % rating which is better imo.

Also you could add sign up buttons to the bottom of each review too. I would actually include a big button half way down the review as well as at the end, but that's just me.

Also consider doing some quality back links.

You've done very well with the design of your website. I would add all rights reserved at the bottom of your webpage and make the 18+ and gamecare logos more central of your page.

The site is well done.
Though I am still to have our sports betting site up but here are my 2 cents.

On the home page, I could not find any links to latest event news or tips, which might make the visitors stay on to the site and come back.
The forum posts on the right are also not that prominent and hence I can see that forums are not much active.

My team used to do exclusive sports betting content work for a UK sports betting site and they used to get a good amount of organic traffic due to the articles we used to do for them. I believe you should keep on adding fresh content and since yours is a UK facing site, Premier League Soccer ( EPL) and Cricket can be good traffic drivers.

What kind of traffic are you currently generating from EPL and Cricket searches ?
