    Default Site Review www.sportpunter.com

    Site review: http://www.sportpunter.com
    Hi Guys and Gals,
I've just updated my site for the first time since 2002. Any feedback on the design and content would be greatly appreciated.

    About Sportpunter:
We use mathematical modelling techniques to produce our own probabilities on most sports and then using the current odds let our users know if they should bet on a certain match. Our mathematician has a Phd in sports statistics and our results speak for themselves with over 7 years of tracked results. We offer both free and paid subscriptions

What we want the new site to do:
The old site was a plain static page that only had each model and past statistics, this new one is a blog design and we hope to have lots of interesting news stories, stories about probability, statistics and maths based sporting stories, as well as stories about being a professional gambler.

    Affiliates:
We have never had advertising on the site before and have a very strong customer base who bets quite a lot. Just contact me here if you would like to discuss a deal. We are also hoping to get some sort of grand opening of the website type prizes from affiliates, so you will be hearing from me soon i suspect.

    GPWA community:
Please tell me whats good and bad about the site. Be brutally honest, as that is the only way we can make improvements. Thanks for your time and comments.

    Hi Steve

Nice site you have there with loads of info but a few things that caught me eye - the header word "punter" do you need it in yellow because whatever i am looking at it always draws me back and is a little off putting, it may only be my eyes that are playing up.

Under your results and soccer you are showing only 30% win ratio is that right ?
take 2nd Feb for example bet 13K and won 500 now i am assuming that you are selling this package so do you think you need to tweek the numbers here or have a missed something ?

Hi Tim, we are getting a new logo soon, so hopefully the new logo will be much better then the current text image. We have a competition going on at the moment here

I'm not sure what win ratio you are talking about, but we usually bet underdogs, which means we are betting very high odds, so a 30% win ratio will still result in our subscribers winning money, as was the case for that month. We are currently offering that soccer model for free as it is new, we usually give out new models for free until they have proven themselves. We would never "tweak" the numbers as we have no need to, all our models actually make a profit over the long run.

    Thanks for your comments

Perhaps try and clarify that in its presentation so it sounds more attracitve, e.g. "In September £100 staked would have returned £x"?

    Generally looks very well presented.
