    Lightbulb Is this site Shrewwwd?

    Hello Guys,

    I've started a relatively new site and would really welcome and appreciate any feedback as to what you think about it?

    Its an online resource that will hopefully in time have a strong community feel and is a service led comparison site offering additional rewards and benefits for members.

    It would be great to get feedback on 1) whether the message and offer is clear 2) anything that seems to be lacking or anything that should be included 3) General look and feel 4)anything else

    There is lots of work in progress and the bingo and poker pages need more product specific content for sure.

    The website is www shrewwwd (cant post the full link as very new here)

    Thanks for looking, all feedback appreciated.

    Very nice looking site, but the logo is different from the domain name!

    Many thanks for the feedback Joe,

    There is actually 3 W's within that logo, it would be interesting to get others thoughts on whether its too concpetual/misleading

    Overall i like the site. Although it is too dark in colour for me.
    Also on your registration i would go with a lighter box colour as it blends too much in to the background.

    Best of luck with it

    After a quick view on your website and source code ...

    ---

    1.

    It's not a bad idea to hide your affiliate links with PHP 301 redirections.

    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("Location: http://www.affiliatelink.com");
    header("Connection: close");

    ---

    2.

    You also should add the rel="nofollow" tag to your affiliate links.

    ---

    Good luck!

    What do you think of some of the Wordpress link cloakers? At least you get to name them with an attractive name.

    Like the design, certainly stands out from the generic sites in this space... seemed a little slow to load in places mind.

    I would not have understood the www thing in the logo without you pointing it out. If your site is new then it might be worth switching that crazy domain before you get traction (shrewdgambler . com is still available as just one example - so should be plenty of options)

    Never sure that 'sign up now' is the best call to action button text... maybe turn this into something more enticing or benefit focused? (or at least split test it!).

    I am using Thesis theme with a build-in 301 option.

    If your theme don't have a build-in 301 option, then I don't see any problems with using a link cloaker as long you are able to add a rel="nofollow" tag.

    I added the link for you.

    Certainly don't wanna visit that site in older versions of IE as it's a mess in IE.

    It's looking very good - a nicely put together site and I imagine that there will be a bit of interest.

    I'm not sure how many people are prepared to sign-up and in order to try your VIP elite site and the concierge service, in my experience high-rollers don't really want to be bombarded with free bet offers - but there is only one way to find out - and that's by trying.

    If you can actually deliver and maintain a specialised service then you might attract quite a valuable segment.

    Good luck with your internet venture.

    Many thanks for all the feedback, Its great to get some positive comments but equally important its really nice to get some constructive criticism and advice, All appreciated. Its interesting to hear your thoughts on mobile/tablet friendliness Edgarf as I really want to work on mobile compatibility (sometimes the homepage can look muddled).

    Also cheers for adding the link Rick.

    It doesn't look bad at all.

    I whish you the best of luck with it. One things that i'd like to point out, even others did, is the domain name which is very hard to remember.

    Just my two cents, but you shouls seriously think about changing "Sign Up Now" to something more benefit oriented. The site looks nice, but may be a little on the dark side. I agree that the logo is misleading and the domain name is difficult to remember. Best of luck to you!
