    This just got more ridiculous.

A member of my household with an inactive account and a card valid until 2018 just received a new one today. While I was told I won't be automatically sent a new one due to an "internal business decision".

Meanwhile, the expired card was finally removed from my account and I see the landing page where I can apply for a new one - but I'm not sure I will. Not with this treatment and the new fees while the daily limits are still ridiculously low.

But it seems they're not exiting my market, which is good for me as an affiliate.

Do you think, because its old one, grey color, or something other thing?
I check mail dont recieve messages from them and dont recieve any new card.

    Hello,

When the changes were made, did you receive the new card?
Otherwise, you must write to Skrill, because the old cards have been changed.

    Same happened to me.
By accident you have probably not received the email from Skrill many months ago to confirm your postal address. Without this email no new card was sent out.

Your old card was cancelled some weeks ago automatically like my card no matter how long it was valid. Even if you have paid short before the annual fee, emails to Skrill asking for a replacement card remain unanswered.

The solution is that you now simply order a new card in your account because the status of your old is "cancelled". You can do this [only] if you have 10 Euro available for the costs in your Skrill account.

Hi, i recieve answer today, that i must buy new card, because old one will not valid /color: silver/. I now apply for new card, thats cost 10 euro.
Now waiting for new card. The old card was only on a few months, but as i see they has new card and as i read, they also has new card provider and old cards do not be accpeted.

Thanks for posts to my question!

"Transaction not allowed" when I tried to withdraw money from an ATM yesterday using a Skrill card. One that was only activated on 2016/11/14.

Bastards. I'm sick of this. Imagine being in a foreign country and needing the money to eat or sleep!

    "Card details: blocked"

Is this the new card? Did they tell you anything?

It's not the "new" contactless card, if that's what you mean. Just that regular old card that was delivered in November.

Checked my emails - nothing. Not a word.

    I'm in Croatia BTW.

You should write to Skrill. Because the last card if you received it is valid.

I do not know if Croatia is an excluded country.
Did you pay the 10 euros for the year? I think one member had this problem.

This isn't related to anything else other than them being totally incompetent and moronic, and blocking a card they themselves sent only two months ago.

They are really **** when it comes to fees (it gets worse every year) and customer support, but sadly there are no alternatives except the bank wire transfer which might cost more than using Skrill

The problem also, to have a bank transfer is often to make a big numbers. Small webmasters can not wait.

As it turns out, my card was blocked because I dared to buy TGV tickets for €252 when I was in Grenoble, France last month.

Skrill haven't informed me they suspected fradulent activity nor did they inform me they blocked the card.

I still remember the embarassment of trying to pay for groceries in Paris several years back, when my Skrill card was declined because the €20 for bloody baguettes and butter breached the daily spend limit (I paid for the hotel half an hour earlier).

Lesson: Skrill is not intended for traveling or any remotely serious use. It's a convenient way to have some pocket money, but only in your own country.

Neteller is the lesser of two evils. At least they're not totally incompetent and aren't actively trying to make you use the product less.

With Neteller I never had a problem when I travel.
But you have to warn them before you leave, otherwise you are blocked.
I do not know if Skrill is the same thing, you may have to warn them.

Guys you forgot to mention 3 daily transaction limit, I had awkward situation a lot of time with that until I realised there is a limit, ahha.

Btw, for travelling use Revolut, really great payment card with actually 0% fees and interbank exchange rates. I use it already for 6 months when travelling and never got issues, really saves me money compared to oldschool money exchange offices where you get ripped.

You should use this Mastercard only for ATM (affiliate earnings and / and or casino winnings) and for depositing into casinos.

Every other also normal transaction and especially
transactions with other Skrill members or - what is sheer suicide - exchange actions with other guys who want to wash their Paypal or Paysafecard - is a risk.

Skrill is working from the beginning until today under the kin liability principle. So if you have any transactions with companies or people who became fraudulent or at least fishy after the transaction with you, then you - even if you have nothing to do with it - will probably face an account blocking.

And never help them with forwarding phishing emails. I was also temporarily blocked one time after I tried to help them with giving information about such emails. This was the first and the last time I did anything for them. Never again!

He ben! Normally, this is what must be done no?
With Neteller I once had a spam, they immediately thanked me.

Leo, I never experienced phishing emails like that and would never help/exchange whatsoever with the person I don't know.

"I never experienced phishing emails like that"

Unfortunately, there are many cases and enough evidence for their existence.

    Only one example: http://www.earn-pm.com/2015/09/skril...r-account.html

In Germany there are dozens of websites warning about such emails coming allegedly from Skrill.
