Smile Spotted Dog Media Buying iGaming Portal Sites

Spotted Dog Media has announced they are looking to acquire iGaming Portal Sites. If you have an established site you would consider selling, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to exchange your site for some cash. These are good folks, so I've agreed to make our members aware of their interest, and recommend contacting them if you are considering selling a site.

    Michael

Spotted Dog Media Inc. has announced that they are looking to acquire igaming portals and advertising sites. Their focus is on purchasing content-rich sites that have a proven history of directing traffic to online casinos, sportsbooks and poker rooms. Priority is being given to businesses that currently(or realistically), can develop the majority of their business from outside North America during the course of 2007.

Spotted Dog Media believes that this strategy will complement its market-leading offline advertising services now provided to the igaming industry.

The company is currently negotiating with a few portal owners, and they expect to finalize the terms of their first acquisition at the CAP Euro conference in London later this month. In addition, Spotted Dog’s primary mission at CAP Euro is to identify and begin discussions with other prospective businesses that are available for sale.

Interested parties should email or call Joe Harkins at Spotted Dog to arrange meetings at the conference. Email joeh@spotteddogmedia.com, or call 604-980-5361.

It would be interesting to have a ballpark figure of what they are paying for sites.

they contacted me as well and i was considering selling them one of my bigger sites. they want to know exact revenue figures from it and for affiliates with lots of sites that is impossible to tell unless i was selling my entire network, which i was not interested in doing so. for affilaite looking to sell all of their sites they could be a good option though...

Pricing for a site depends on all sorts of considerations. In today's marketplace it will be correct to segment the income into that attributable to US players and that attributable to non-US players and do valuations for these subsets of a site's revenue and them add them together.

In most of the cases I have looked at, I would say a valuation of 1 times annual earnings is closer to a reasonable valuation than 6 months earnings. I would expect valuations to go lower than that for sites with low revenues or high overhead if the domain names and other associated site assets are not valuable, and to go higher than that with higher revenue streams and/or lower overhead or higher domain name or other asset values. But lots of factors can swing valuations by very substantial factors, especially the way the site will fit into the portfolio of the site acquirer.

Just FYI - this is a 6 year old thread (ressurected by someone selling links) so the info might be a bit out of date!
onlinegamblingwebsites.com - Formally known as goodbonusguide.

Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding on Dan - see the list here. Prices negotiable, and willing to swap for decent links.

^^ It took me a couple reads of the OP to realize that
Feel free to PM with mutually beneficial opportunities; we do not sell links on our sites. Some sample pages: sell PokerStars tournament dollars| Rush poker

Dang! I got a bit excited there. There's no better way to get an idea of what your site is worth, than from someone in the market to buy what you've got.

I don't think there are any good buyers out there for any site once you get above $xx,xxx a month in earnings. We have received offers on websites that are 7+ years old with consistent earnings under 12x factor.

Would you sell though casinobonusguy even at 12 months or 18?
    I know that I wouldn't ...

Bricks and mortar businesses in the real world are often valued at 6-8x ANNUAL earnings (72-96 months) ...
And my feeling is that aged sites with a proven history of solid income and profit are nearly as valuable - unless they're dealing in grey legislative markets.

I think that it would probably take an offer of that magnitude to tempt me into selling ....

Just to hijack this thread (sorry guys...) we are interested in buying established online bingo portals. email me at phil [at] whichbingo dot co do uk if you have anything to sell (including bingo domain names with no content). And before any one asks the answer is 'it depends on quality/quantity of content, SERPS, age, revenue streams, traffic, quality of domain name etc etc'.
