Politely let them know you already have an account and promote them
Ignore the email, they should know before sending
Check to see if everything is ok with the account and either let them know of problem

These kinds of emails reduce my faith in the program to a degree immediately. It's even worse if you already have an account with them.
In almost 100% of cases, they are breaking their own terms of service.
They are promoting their product to an unsolicited email list (that's called spam) but if you join their program and promote to players using the exact same methods they just used, you can get your account closed.
I sometimes ask them how or where they got the mail contact, if thy bother to respond they will claim something that 99% of the time is not true. Often the response is to ignore the question and concentrate on the "pitch" instead.
Ask them if they allow you to promote to players using the same methods they used, (purchasing or renting a compiled list of emails) and most times they will tell you not to use spam to promote them, and they always ignore the hypocrisy.
Otherwise, ignoring the email is less stressful.

I tend to always be polite and reply however I also check to see if our account is in good standing and if there are any issues. Some regret sending the email ... LOL
At least I found a contact!
All that being said I wish they would check there CRM system (another LOL), to see if we have an account.

It should be pretty easy to check if one already has an account with them. So if they don't bother checking, I wouldn't bother responding.
On the other hand, I have had cases where the affiliate manager I am working with wasn't the best and I actually managed to get a hold of a more responsive and competent one from an email like that.

I tend to reply the first time but if I get multiple emails then I stop responding. As Rick says it makes you lose faith in the program as they are clearly more concerned about onboarding than engaging with existing affs.
The worst instances are when you get multiple people contacting from the same program and they are effectively fighting each other for your account so they can get their bonuses.

In my case, I first verify the legitimacy of the sender (too many impersonators these days) and then the status of my account. I always try to answer.
I look at it as an opportunity to resolve an issue if there is any, to engage with new members of the staff, or just to show some professionalism. If they are unprofessional and disorganized, that's their problem and I try not to fall into the same behavior.
