What is a Professional Backgammon Player ?
How do you decide who a professional backgammon player is ?
They all play on the same software, so how can a company deny a player winnings - by calling them professionals.
Is this because they have won ?
Imagine if Pokerstars banned all of their professional players. This situation does sound rather odd.
Perhaps Nicole can update as as to why all of this is happening at Star Games.

Yes, i think we noted your complaint or complaints like yours in the thread already. What we are trying to establish at the moment is why Star Games have closed these accounts. There is always more than one side to a story. Well,I read lot about stargames in forums,and it is quite sure,that they ban "professionals" in any game.Sooner or later.It would be great if i had read these forum threads before i put any money in a stargames.But it's too late now,and we have to fight for what we had honestly won.The big problem is not actually stargames,who could at least mention in their terms&conditions,that professional players are not accepted in their site,but the regulator - MGA,who seems to get lot of money from stargames,and instead of protecting the player,they defend stargames in all possible ways.Not to mention that I am not even a professional player,since i know some pros,and their level is far beyond mine.

Sir,my account was blocked 2 months ago,and i still have not received any details.If they had any real reason to do that,they would have mention it.I mean,what is the problem if you know someone is guilty of something,to let him know the reason.If you hide your reasons,then something is really wrong.And when someone backs you up,like MGA,then things are very very wrong.From my experience last 2 months,IMO all of us are blocked,because we have been put in their "professional" list,which is kind of a blacklist.And everybody from that list gets banned.Sooner or later....

As previously stated - i think the best thing to do is to wait for Star Games Affiliates to respond to this thread. I see that one player has managed to get his funds. If Star Games have a reason for not paying you & others, let them state it here. As i said above, there is more than 1 side to the issue, we in the community only know to well what "players" will get up to at times. I am not saying that you or anyone else is up to something.
Let's simply wait for Star Games Affiliates to respond.

I'm gonna try answering the questions and tell you some general stuff, which may or may not be in connection with this case, I don't know.
Backgammon is basically a solved game, a computer can calculate the best move in a given situation with a really small rate of error in seconds - meaning cheating (using bots to play a perfect or as-close-to-perfect-as-you-want-to game is no more than running a program, and manually (or automatically even) inputting your move into the client.
Professional backgammon players are rated by a system that shows how far off they are from the perfect play. It's generally miniscule. But there is one thing that separates backgammon players from bots with innate noise: humans make 'logical errors', while a computer can make a move that makes absolutely zero sense but is closer in expected value, than the 'logical' move. Determening what's logical and 'bot-like'... I don't know if it's easy or not, the point is: good backgammon players and tempered bots play a pretty damn similar game. And botting IS illegal in every T&C.

If it states that using BOTS is not on in the T&Cs , i have not checked, I would assume that the venue would take action if it was deemed "illegal". They would also need to prove that players are using "bots".
All of this though is mere speculation. We need an answer from Star Games Affiliates re all of this i would think.

We all who play backgammon seriously know what is "bot",and that is strictly against all sites T&C to use it.About me i am 100% they can not blame me for bot usage.Actually until now they did not mention any specific reason for my closure,only that for security reason they can not inform me.If they blame me in "bot usage" or whatever else they should mention it,and show facts.Bots usage is easy to proof,since no human can get even close to perfect plays in big number of games.
