"The big winners in New Jersey's online gambling markets are familiar names, with land-based brands like the Golden Nugget, Borgata, Tropicana and Resorts leading the way," said report authors Adam Krejcik and Chris Grove of the independent research firm Eilers and Krejcik Gaming."Increased integration between the online and live casino appears to be driving additional play and visitation at land-based properties."
While Grove and Krejcik say that revenue "may have hit a wall," they add that there are reasons for optimism that New York and Pennsylvania could legalize online gaming this year — a move that "could spark the long-awaited domino effect on the Eastern Seaboard."
