Default Sun Bingo Not Paying and the Sounds of Silence Strategy

We had Active Players with Sun Bingo and have determined 100% that they didn't migrate them over when they move affiliates. From the Forums and postings that I have read this looks to be an ongoing strategy for them. People bring them players, they generate revenue and then they move. They take the players with them but they conveniently don't pay existing commissions or tag the players to the affiliate. This strategy is very short sighted. Eventually people catch on. We wrote them many e-mails asking for our payment and about he migration of our players and they didn't respond. I wrote to them saying I was going to post here and Adam Bloom wrote me back telling me that he replied to all the e-mails. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and replied to him...... and......... silence. No reply. Do you think he replied to all the other e-mails. It doesn't look like it from my end. My e-mail is working fine. If this is how they treat affiliates, I can't imagine how they treat players.

I was told today that I could kiss goodbye to my historical players! and then I was asked if I would like to give 'Sun Bingo a push' across my sites... er that would be a NO.

Any gaming brand associated with Murdoch is likely to be dodgy frankly.

The Sun is owned by News Corp (Rupert Murdoch Chairman)

Skybet is partially owned by Sky UK, who are owned by Sky Plc (Rupert Murdoch Founder, James Murdoch current Chairman)

Here are some independent player reviews about their gaming sites using their brand:
    https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.skybet.com
    https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/the-sun-bingo.co.uk

And some affiliate reviews about their brands/ethical behaviour:
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/sun-bingo...in-236215.html
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/skybet-ch...es-224478.html
    https://www.affiliateguarddog.com/co...-sky-bet.9439/

News articles regarding the media they publish:
    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...-phone-hacking
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...d-9584249.html
    http://www.itv.com/news/2016-04-27/a...ff-front-page/

Since Skybet closed their affiliate program recently, they appear to have massively raised their offline media presence.
Clearly all that "lifetime" affiliate commission, arguably and allegedly stolen from their affiliates including myself, is being used to raise their brand profile.

I therefore, personally, completely steer well away from the following brands:

    The Sun Bingo
    Sun Bets
    Mirror Bingo
    Sky Bet
    Sky Bingo
    Sky Casino
    Sky Poker
    Sky Vegas

I have talked directly to Mr Bloome at Nethive. He confirmed that they are not migrating players over and indicated that because of the migration, they should not be responsible for past payments. I explained to him that Sun Bingo changing affiliates does not release them from all obligations of paying past commissions. . The liabilities are still there. He did not have anything to counteract this point. He told me a week ago that he would talk with his boss and get back to me. It has been a week and I have not heard anything. I felt like I was making progress but it seems to have stalled.

Hopefully, they will sort everything out for you very soon and any day now. You'll see. I wouldn't worry about anything at all if I were you.

Why mirror bingo? They're not owned by Murdoch - awful program (imo) but not in the Murdoch camp.

Sun Bingo has been a terrible program for us - fabulous was much better when on gamesys. Revisited sun bingo a few times since they moved to nethive but there's better things to waste time on.

Btw they can offer you payments for loss of commissions but will expect promotion in response.

Agreed Mirror Bingo is an awful program but it does make a bit of spare change.

I have been chasing Mirror Bingo for weeks as the affiliate account hasn't been updated since May and all the banners are out of date. I have asked Adam to look into this and his response is that that he is not dealing with this program at the moment and doesn't seem to know who is.... So it looks like another site will soon be dropped...

Adam Bloom has managed to chase this up and all is sorted with the Mirror Bingo. If anyone else is having any issues with Mirror Bingo then Adam can help with this.

Agreed. Adam is working on this and we have received 2 of 3 payments due. They have been paying as agreed so far. I was going to wait until the final payment was received but they have been paying the installments as agreed. Adam, thanks for sorting this out.

I think it is a disgrace that they do not notify you to tell you that the stats are not working.
It should not be the affiliate job to keep pointing out their issues.
    Hope it does get sorted.

Things were OK with them before NetHive, it is a shame and a travesty.

Default Bumsville > It's Time to Group Together and Make a Stand Against This Kinda Thing

    The questions beg...

    1. Why has the data gone missing? This is a deliberate choice from the operator to hide data from you. They could only be intentionally concealing data from you, for some very specific reasons. What are those reasons?

    2. How much would you value your player database at last week? And how much would you value your database this week, now this has happened? On the same note how much would you value the same data in 1 year once this 'saga continues'?

    3. Do you expect your earnings to go up or down over the next few months?

    4. Are you still sending traffic to a company/brand/group of brands that so obviously gets so many negative reviews and reports?

    5. Why are you surprised this companies behaviour makes you feel like ****, and out of pocket, AGAIN?
Give me 5 minutes and I could find 100s upon 100s of negative reviews about this brand and group of companies.

It's about time us smaller affiliate-driven businesses made a stand against this kind of stuff it really is.
2018 has been the shittest year in casino/bingo/sports betting affiliates history in terms of Big Corporates shafting us Smaller Businesses - and its about time we grouped together and made a stand. We should make an example of one of these thieving stacks of ****.

We should collect our social, professional and digital marketing experience and just collectively take out the next operator that does this to us. We could easily do it within a few months. If we shared our resources, we could easily take a few million off the value of a major publicly traded operator. We need to make an example of one of the big boys and screw them up - I feel strongly this is the only way us smaller businesses/affiliates can stop this current trend of big operators (especially those on the public stock markets) shafting smaller businesses in this industry.

Unless someone/some of us make a stand - what will ever stop this disgusting new fashion of big companies shitting on/stealing from small companies in this business?

We need to make an example of one of these bitches soon, together, otherwise it can only continually escalate.

If us smaller businesses who are 100% performance-based don't make a stand soon, these dirty big companies will just continue to do it. It's obviously got worse lately.

A GPWA/Affiliate Guard Dog/Casinomeister (etc / et al) driven 'iGaming Affiliates Alliance' would be the most awesome corporate institution to get involved with. Especially if was a not-for-profit/charity organisation and all proceeds were invested into charity, or legal fees for obtaining back stolen affiliate commissions to further boost the charitable fund.

We were stupid enough to keep them on board after the migration of the new affiliate platform. Adam promised a buyout of a few thousand dollars if we kept promoting them. Even though we would be losing out on all our players not being integrated into the new platform. A year later they still haven't paid and won't even pay our commissions owing for several months. Do not trust these guys.

I spoke with Adam on the phone and he was so smug and that he was doing us a favor. He said if we promote Sun Bingo and prove that we bring in a lot of traffic then they would pay us commissions owing and buyout from agreements still owing.

STAY FAR AWAY. Do not trust any buyouts they propose. They DO NOT PAY!
