Four online operators with licenses in Sweden were penalized by the country's regulatory body, Spelinspektionen, for accepting bets on games involving players under 19 years old. The four operators and their respective fines are ComeOn (SEK 6 million), Hajper (SEK 4.5 million), Snabbare (SEK 9 million) and Legolas (SEK 100,000). The majority of the offenses involved bettors 18 years old or under, and the wagers were placed on European football leagues, while Legolas took bets on a volleyball match.
Spelinspektionen will allow the four operators to take part in an information meeting on 17 September to make the regulations clear.

The Gaming Inspectorate is working to develop regulations on possible bans or restrictions on games or events in competitions, or other measures to combat manipulation of sports results. The regulations are expected to enter into force at the beginning of next year.
