Gamblers will always find a way to gamble, whatever it takes. This is an "utter nonsense" decision from the Swedish government and they definitely don't have a clue about this really.

True but most of european nanny states does stuff like that,even when they know that a lot of offshore operators will be happy to receive money from players in such places....
That's why going offshore is the best thing to do,you will only have to worry about banks,not governments doing such bullshit meausures

The decision is strongly in favour of the two major national gaming companies "ATG" (horse betting) and "Svenska Spel" (casino and sports). They think players will stay with the companies government has stake in w/o understanding that the high value players/VIP know exactly where to play outside the system to get the bonuses they look for. And there goes a lot of the taxes from Sweden elsewhere. Would be good if someday Politicians would understand basic economics and in this case have followed the industry executives advice.
