The thinking of WPN Affiliates

This provider is still a mystery to me. Especially the crazy 7% transaction fees for every deposit / withdrawal, especially for Bitcoin.

No affiliate program on the market(for online poker), deducts for affiliates such insane transaction fees. And they don't even stand by it and openly say that they are putting the money in their own pockets and thats it.

Also the deal compared to other operator is very bad.

WPN actually has potential and could reach much better results if certain things were changed and if they would work more closely with affiliates together, especially with the big ones. But nothing has changed in the last few years and it will probably not change in the next few years either. Affiliates will continue to avoid bringing good traffic to them and will only focus on the countries that almost no one else except WPN accepts. It would also make no sense to bring any high rollers to WPN, as you actually only make minus due to the transaction fees. It often happened that we had a player who generated 2-5k rake per month but at the end we had -500$ because of the transaction fees. But who cares because WPN earns something.

I just don't understand the thinking. In every country they work without a license. Laws and regulations are ignored! Other providers pay a lot of taxes in countries where everything is officially regulated, but have lower transaction fees and higher deals for affiliates. Only WPN offers the worst deals and conditions on the market for affiliates.

Why they give a ........ about it instead of change the thinking a bit and grow much faster and get more traffic. They always ask us how they can get more traffic and the answer is always the same: Change the crazy 7% transaction fees and give a better deal. It's simple!

To send a player to WPN if you can send it somewhere else, it is burning money.

Ive fought with them on the transaction fees too. Even if you sent them hundreds of players a month, you cant make anything as the transaction fees are more then the rake, then they also do not pay on casino or sports when your poker players degen at the slots.

WPN is the worst online poker affiliate program :) Happy to hear that other people think the same.

Have driven significant amount of punters to them & i'm dissapointed.

There really is only one reason anyone can promote WPN and that is for countries that are excluded everywhere else

WPN tried to become a sponsor at GPWA. Well, they actually did. It did not last long at all since WPN Affiliates was quickly run off from GPWA by pissed off affiliates lol!

Of course, you participated in that train-wreck of a thread, but for those affiliates who did not, here is the link: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/please-we...or-251741.html

Personally, we like our current AM (our past AMs are a different matter altogether, they sucked!) and our current AM does help us out with almost anything we ask of them.

However, the problem is that the AM has no power to do anything about your deal. I am fairly sure that all the decisions are made up at the top of WPN, above the paygrade of even the head affiliate manager. So if you know WPN, you know of whom I speak.

Well, Commission Kings / Chico network is charging 9.5% for DEPOSITS, even in Cryptos! That is even worse on the front end and crazy ridiculous.

But you are correct, it is absurd to charge these kinds of fees. Furthermore, they are in fact open about doing so. I have heard upper management at conferences openly and publicly mentioning their high profit margins.

Hell, at a dinner surrounded by players, some of which were customers, I was once called out by upper management at WPN as an (and I am paraphrasing here) "evil blood-sucking affiliate taking money away from operator's and player's pockets". Sure it may have been in jest, but then again, certainly some truth in there.

Agreed. On many levels at that. And now, only CPA deals are offered to new affiliates!

Yes, this is definitely a thing that is tough to deal with. Bringing in a high stakes player to play the No Rathole tables for example, which get tons of recreational players just watching the games play out and is great for WPN PR? Well, prepare to pay deposit and withdrawal fees on all those huge 5 figure transactions!

I have seen affiliates get screwed in exactly the way you describe and I feel badly for them because all the rev-share deals are locked into place now as far as I know and there is no way for existing affiliates to rectify this situation if they already had not addressed it in years past.

Yes you are right. But at least they deduct only 1-2% if a player withdraw. So it makes much more sense to bring a winning player to Chico as to WPN.

It is 2%.

But considering they are actively pissed off at net withdrawing affiliate sheets, their entire approach is backasswards. They should just charge a lot for withdrawals and little on deposits. Better for everyone.

I think we all know what lies behind this and many other situation we face as poker affiliates: our market is small, not very profitable, and without competitors the few companies around do whatever they want. Yes, they can do business in other ways, and yes, we could all have a piece of the pie, but why? They do it because they can. New poker sites just use affiliates to pop-up and we all know what happens after they climb the hill.

Punish the ones who **** you. **** them back. That's what I do.

Writing a negative review of a company, and ranking it well in Google, in order to punish a terrible / scammy / shady / thieving poker operator for screwing you over, is quite an enjoyable experience. You should try it some time! We could even collaborate on it (open offer to anyone who wants to call out bad operators by publishing negative, but factual, information)
