Default Too many pages in supplemental results

    Hello,

I'm operating a website (see in my signature) and always add unique content to it. But Google for unknown reason put almost all my pages under supplemetnal results. Could someone please explain me why?

And how to take them out of these results?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems you have 710 pages indexed that seems good to me, please explain more.

Hmmmm...it sounds strange, because there are only 138 posts + few sections and bottom pages.

SlotMonster I tried to view your website but it just hangs. I clicked on the link in your sig, a new page opens and then nothing happens.

    Are you using Wordpress?

Not sure how accurate this is without looking at your Google Webmaster Tools. Do you submit a site map. Maybe you have loads of extension on each URL that are getting picked up such as:

    mysite.com
    mysite.com/index.htl
    mysite.com/home

Yes, but my site is fully working right now.

I'm submitting my sitemap on daily basis to Google (and it says now I have 164 pages in web index), and not even use "html"

I think that number refers to the indexed pages contained within the sitemap. Google will however find pages and extension that you yourself did not know about.

that is pretty strange because all my posts and pages are like

    www.site.com/post/

By the way, maybe I should block /section/ in robots to avoid duplicate content?
I'm also started thinking about keywords to be put in ALT text for images and META for posts and pages....

i took a look for only 30 seconds, so my analysis is definitely unaccurate... but i think most of the supplemental results are the /go/... pages (redirect to external websites).

it means that the real content is not in the supplemental index, in my opinion.

That is also very strange, because I restricted indexing these pages in my robots.txt file...

Moreover, google data centers are updating veeery slowly, so it could take months to give an accurate numbers.

when you block a page with robots.txt, you are telling search engines not to crawl that page, but they can still see the links pointing to it. they know that URL actually exists. only, they can't access it.

also uso rel="nofollow" on those links, if you want search engines to totally ignore those (virtual) pages.
(or remove the block on the robots.txt and let them find out what they really are )

How do you think, maybe deleting them permanently via Google Webmasters will help?

i would just add a nofollow and then let google doing the rest. i wouldn't spend time in removing those URLs.

in this case, i think supplemental results are not a problem. supplementals should be taken care of when they are a sign of duplicate content

Yeah, I know. But I'm interested in as many as possible pages being put in main index, but not in supplemental, because it may have influence on your positions.
So, all posts are unique, without any duplicated content, so why are they in supplemental???
That's the biggest question I would like to get a reply to

the real question is: do you have real pages in supplemental results? or only the /go/ pages are there?

however, it's not true having pages in supplemental index have influence on website ranking. clearly, those redirect pages won't rank, but the point is: are they supposed to rank? clearly not, otherwise you wouldn't have blocked them

to have google removing those URLs from its index, add the nofollow. no link juice, no URLs to follow

Yes, I have 'real pages' in supplemental results. Actually there are only 15 pages in main index out of 164.

15? you have many pages there, apart from the /go/ and /download/ ones, but they are definitely more than 15 pages are in main index.

you can remove them, but if Google finds again links to blocked page, it will index their URL again...

btw, do you have any issue in google webmaster tools -> diagnostics -> html suggestions?

    According to Google

site:awesome-slots.com/& - here are pages in main index

site:awesome-slots.com - all pages (with supplemental)

I have some "Duplicate title tags" issues, but could resolve them in 10 minutes.

I would look at your backlinks. Low quality, off topic, blog spam backlinks won't help you. If they did at all, the links will be devalued eventually. I would stay away from DP link packages.

    Quality over quantity
