Really sucks that we have to go out and register crap domains to protect ourselves from scum-suckers who would like nothing better than to leech off our success!
At one time I had numerous individuals purchasing various .tlds of my domains - most of those were sold back to me at a great profit to the leecher. What really sucks is most of those individuals were members right here at GPWA - one was a former owner. Just the other day I discovered another leech trying to benefit off of an already established domain. IMO they are all unethical pieces of dung as their ill intentions are cut and dry!
Best of luck to you in keeping them away!
Even having a trademark won't keep them away - I've had one for years, but idiots still are idiots! Sure you'll be able to shut them down in time, but you're going to have to work at it and in some cases pay out of your own pocket to do it.

Why do you think they're crap domains?
I see them as another stream to increase my brands reach. And of course are ideal for additional traffic that you can funnel back to your main site.
One of my main brands & its additional TLD's receive around 150 unique a day each.
Multiply that by 9 and that's 1,350 extra unique visitors I'd not have received if it was not for the extra TLD's.
Maybe this will help you see the BIG picture and help others too.
Cheers
Dave

That is a good idea. I have to figure out the best way to do this when I get a bit of time. Right now they are parked with the host ads so I have to get to it soon.
arkyt, while this will not prevent ALL folks from infringing on my trademark rights it will make MOST of them think twice! I also feel that I have no other choice but to do this because we MUST take a stand and beat the scumbags that do this type of thing!

They found a trademark for Gametrak in my category, but looks like it's all good to go for GamTrak!
