Transferring content on to a new domain

I'm looking to transfer all content from one one of my sites on to a new, improved domain that I've recently purchased.

My understanding is that I need to place a 301 on all of the URLs of my current site to redirect Google to the URL on the new domain where the content will now be residing.

Two quick questions:

- Is 301 like this all I need to do?
- Is there a 'quick' way of doing this or do I need have an individual 301 command for every separate page on my current site. I guess what would be ideal would be to have some kind of code which would allow me to 301 all pages on my current site to exactly the same location on the new domain.

301 is all you need, and you don't need to do it line by line - try this.

Will that just redirect the root though? Or will it correctly 301 all of the sub pages that have already been indexed in Google?

The htaccess 301 redirect will correctly redirect all your pages/directories. :joy:

By using the 301 code that Rak mentioned above, my sub pages will be re-directed from:

http://www.olddomain.com/review/casino

to

http://www.newdomain.com/review/casino
