Haha - I am in favor of the idea of everyone having the right to live their life as they see fit (so long as those actions don't harm others), which is what the GOP was supposed to embody, but Republicans these days like to interfere with other people's choices, despite that being a contradiction of what they say they stand for...putting politics aside I'm really not a fan of stupidity (and a few of the candidates qualified - at least I still have Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee to make fun of), but I do find it entertaining to watch!

Say what you want about Trump, but he is certainly nobody's fool and his rise in popularity has made this whole process a lot more intriguing. I was ready for a Bush/Clinton snoozefest, but who know what will happen now?

I don't think so. A business man is going to look after his own pocket. I know that's a bit tongue in cheek because the politicians seem to have the same motive, but I really don't think it's in the country's best interests to have him running it.

The Donald is a very charismatic, entertaining and successful business man. But in my opinion, you can't run a country like a business that solely focuses on the bottom line ahead of everything else.

I'm in favor of that too, but the idea of what is harming others and what not may be different. Sometimes that means that you have to interfere with people's choices. In the end, to interfere never and never, wil lead to limited freedom and harming many other people.

Trump is leading in the polls I've heard. He's different than the candidates you should usually expect, but I don't know... he might be too liberal for many Republican voters and I think he's that kind of person you either do like or you either do hate. And turning haters into voters, isn't that easy. Also the way he is organizing his imperium and his family life, may make people do stay away of him.

Also his quote about Mexicans was way too much. He should not have said that as most Mexicans are no drug dealers and no rapers, but just hard working people wanting to earn a few dollars. The States definitely do get another type of immigrant than Europe does. Ofc, some Mexicans do not behave as they should be, but he should have blamed those ones, not all Mexicans. Like here in Europa, I do not have problems with immigrants that are coming here to work, but I don't like mass immigration of people that are coming just because of the social system and/or are having extremist views that do not belong here.

In general I do agree that a country should be runned like a business. But with some exceptions, like not selling the country to China or oil tycoons. The States are technically bankrupt. Some change is needed and it seems old style politicians cannot make that change.

Bean counters have no place as leaders. A country is not supposed to be run by a manager as citizens are not employees.

But this particular businessman is clever and charismatic enough. I'd like to see him run USA. He always did have a certain presidential aura, didn't he?

I knew the US immigation policy changed sometime over the years and tried Googling it a few months ago but never found anything until some mentioned the 1965 policy on tv.

True. Nothing wrong with immigration, put you need to be selective in who and who not. Europe is not an example. They cannot find the skilled workers they need and they receive every day thousands and thousands immigrants that will depend their whole life on social systems...

And so on many things in which America seems to be Europe's twin brother... America should avoid that at any cost and with Democrats America won't...

I don't think Trump is the best for online gambling industry. Whether or not he owns land casinos he may take the position that land casino gambling is for the best, despite the changes in New Jersey. My two cents

Personally, don't think that running a bussiness teaches you everything you need to know to run a country. For sure not US.
And second, charismatic as he can be, I just can't see him win. First - the inexperience factor and second, to many skeletons in the closet.
