This is one very possible scenario I agree... but the question is when and how ? it can take even a decade and meanwhile things can completely change in the crypto world. Also I believe that if the people will want to have a these free coins, still some part of me believe that they'll be able to find a way to keep this running but the values will not be as they were that's for sure.

This is something that I also consider to come true in the very near future. It already seems to be going that way.

    Box office smasher illusion needed!

Right. At some point it was at $5,920 today, and obviously now it's a battle between the whales and the speculators. The only chance to survive is to make it a box office smasher illusion again for newbies. The ordinary Bitcoiner is quasi already out of the game and can only watch, and this wholly unpredictable roller coaster rally scares away - with all rights - many people who thought about to invest into Bitcoin this year.

The "Petro" and why crypto socialists and communists are a total flop

Yes, this will be a long way. And already now at the beginning, you can see, how some governments fail. One example is Venezuela. The National Assembly of Venezuela already last month declared the country's upcoming oil-backed cryptocurrency, the "Petro", illegal. But left wing President Nicolas Maduro, successor of Whacko communist Hugo Chavez, does not care about that. He now announced, that a pre-sale of Venezuela's new "Petro" cryptocurrency flop will begin on 20. February 2018.

U.S. authorities already warning about the "Petro", because in the long run they want to have their own crypto. So the Russians with their own planned "CryptoRouble" and Sweden also want to start an electronic version of the Krona. It will be a competition, and most governments or Presidents don't like each other, even if they sometimes do so as if this is the case. So you can imagine, where this will end.

It will end probably in countless cyber attacks or even cyber wars, daily mutual accusation who did it on all news organisations and at the end a less peaceful world.

Bitcoin is a bubble, a Ponzi-Scheme and an environmental disaster

Agustín Carstens, head of the "Bank for International Settlements", said today during a visit at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, that Bitcoin is indeed a combination of being "a bubble, a Ponzi scheme and an environmental disaster. If authorities do not act pre-emptively, cryptocurrencies could become more interconnected with the main financial system and become a threat to financial stability."

Re-balancing this thread. Too many BS in one sigle post (someone talks about Ponzi schemes but has no clue on what a Ponzi scheme really is).
    Just today:

US regulators: Cryptocurrency is “a new chapter of economic history”

"Emerging financial technologies broadly are taking us into a new chapter of economic history"

"We are entering a new digital era in world financial markets. As we saw with the development of the Internet, we cannot put the technology genie back in the bottle. Virtual currencies mark a paradigm shift in how we think about payments, traditional financial processes, and engaging in economic activity. Ignoring these developments will not make them go away."

That's right, and I will now explain, why.

    ---

Some Bitcoiners: Also a matter of education
    ?

    Oh my Goodness,

now pusher here on GPWA using [allegedly] Nazi quotes in oversized font to try to indirectly discredit a German critic or any critics. That says it all. But it's a failure in both ways. I will explain with facts, why.

You know, the last time I have seen such a dumb thing, was the attack from Iran's hate preacher Ali Larijani, who seriously believed, he could harm President Trump with exact that [allegedly] Goebbels quote. Uneducated guys, who not even can tell in the public the exact time WWII started, but having a loud mouth.

Nice try, but like in that case also here a total flop. When you try to quote Goebbels you should do a better research before or read some history books. The real books, you can hold in your hands. Yes, they still exist. They feel like books, smell like books. They are simply real.

To improve the quoting person's education: We today know, no one ever heard Goebbels saying that quote, not one of hundreds of thousands of eyewitnesses, there is no source, no letter he wrote that, not even in his diaries, nothing. Your quote is nothing else than a decades old [now also viral] rumor, because people are copying from each other without questioning anything, a textbook example of hearsay, the reason why hearsay is reason for objection at U.S. courts.

Moreover: Would Goebbels ever said this, then he would discredit himself in the function as propaganda minister in the Third Reich, because if the people shall believe him, and they did until Nazi-Germany's defeat at Stalingrad 1943, then the undisputed spin doctor at that time, he would never admit, that he lies.
And this quote cannot be from after WWII, because Goebbels died on 1. Mai 1945 in the Fuehrerbunker of Berlin.

The truth is, that the [real] "Big Lie" topic came from Hitler himself in his book "Mein Kampf", and this is real.

So if dumb Bitcoin pushers try to directly or indirectly discredit Bitcoin critics with historical quotes, then they should really do a better job, especially when they are from a time, they have obviously absolutely no knowledge about, only "knowledge" from comic books, B-Movies or copy and paste robots on the internet.

Thank you for your history lesson (or whatever is this wall of text).
But the essence is always the same: you’re lying to yourself trying to lie to others doing copy/paste from articles all around the web mixed up with a personal non-sense-hate VS something you can’t understand and VS people who own or work in the crypto sphere, looking to “stupid” college guys that became billionaires since the launch of the cryptos. Goebbels or Hitler, Red Riding Hood or White Snow... this is just the truth and you confirm the fact post after post.

Now, I know you want always the last post to satisfy your “sense of victory” and you will come back with another wall of (nonsense) text... but my time is finished (at least for today), my staff made me “MIA” lol, a running session to do... so, enjoy.

p.s.: hurry up, buy the dip

    We only have one Planet!

If you have children, grandchildren or if our environment is just important to you, then you also have to think about, how cryto harms this planet.

It is no conspiracy theory. You can see clearly the immense waste of energy, the worrying development with the "Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index".

    ===> https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption

In the meantime, one single Bitcoin transaction has the same energy need as 17 U.S. households for the whole day.

    Hello?!

Of course, this is downplayed by many Bitcoiners, but the fact is, crypto is neither sustainable nor acting with responsibility in times, when our planet is already at the edge of collapse. Only look at the world's oceans, where thousands of tons of human made plastic on and below the surface destroys the food chain, which will lead to a mass extinction.

What about the rising extinction of the bees? It is a scientific fact, that the end of the bees means also the end of humanity.

Only look at the armada of cruise ships with the allegedly beautiful and rich, partly inflated idiots who made their shady profits only at the expense of the poor and with the help of tax havens. Many of these so fine cruise ships are still running with toxic heavy fuel oil. They put more harm on the environment during one trip than some countries during the whole year.

So the last we need is an energy wasting tool for speculation warriors that is anything but forward-looking with respect to protect the only planet we can live on.

Pure capitalism never thought for one second, if it's action are a danger to other people or to the environment. Remember the countless oil pollutions, the wars for oil like in Iraq, for all these things.

This is also a reason, why Europe's biggest power utility "Enel" refuses to power Bitcoin mining. Do you really believe, the miners care about the consequences of their actions?

At the end, crypto unfortunately has the whalers philosophy: "At any price, stop at nothing and keep the money coming in."

We only have one planet, and some believe, only their generation matters and not the generation of the children of others.

True. Bitcoin is an high consumption network. This is why Cryptos are moving to a PoS solution to mine coins (but... wtf? Aren't them all criminals?).
Proof of Stake: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake (educate yourself, something "new")

It's true, but... as usual... the OP looks at the tree and not at the forest (aka misleading posts).

Banks Use More Paper Despite E-Statements' Popularity

    https://www.americanbanker.com/news/...nts-popularity

A "generic count", used for statistic : 1 ton of uncoated virgin (non-recycled) printing and office paper uses 24 trees.

Deutsche Bank (just to name one), uses 4000 tons per year of non recycled paper.
Easy math: 24x4000 = 96.000 trees per year (for a single bank...) of cut trees. How many banks don't use recycled paper?

Said that: how much energy is needed to produce just 1kg of paper? According to this site:
    http://www.lowtechmagazine.com/what-...materials.html

    • Paper (from standing timber): 25-50MJ (6,950 to 13,900 watt-hours)

1 Ton equals to 1000Kg. Again, simple math:

    1000 x 13,90 (Watt-Hours at max consumption) = 13900 Watt-Hours

To produce 1 Ton (1000 kg) of paper 10 hours (around) of machine work is needed, so:

    13900 x 10 = 139000 Watt-Hours for just 1 Ton

So, just the Deutsche Bank (yearly paper consumption * energy)

    139000 x 4000 = 556.000.000 Watt-Hours

    556.000.000 Watt-Hours + 96.000 trees + ton of water + transport (petrol) + petrol derivates (oil, rub...)
    And just one, single bank...

    ...but Bitcoin is evil...

    Another interesting article:
Banks Use More Paper Despite E-Statements' Popularity

    https://www.americanbanker.com/news/banks-use-more-paper-despite-e-statements-popularity

Now I really need my 8 miles run. Bye.

    Bitcoin Drugs

The trial at the district court of Aachen, Germany against a gang of 5 Bitcoin Drug Lords started today. The extreme right-wing criminals, who are in the real life too dumb to *** a hole into the snow, were capable to sell drugs on the Darknet on a large scale.

    Bitcoin Scammers

A trial against a teenager at jury juvenile court of Augsburg, Germany also started. He ordered MDMA party drug by Bitcoin Scammers in the Darknet and recognized only later, that they have sent him baking powder. The attempt is already punishable by law, so he is now in the dock.

European Police Congress announced, they will increase fight on Darknet child abuse

"Darknet since years is a safe harbor for pedophiles" they now say in Berlin and announced to fight that child abuse at any costs. Due to some idiots here, who are mocking and downplaying even child abuse, a true story from Germany:

A mother sexually abused her own 9 years old son for years, also her life partner. Then they had the idea to make money with the tortured soul. So they offered the son in the Darknet as if he was a prey. Everyone, who paid the monster couple, could **** the child. This was the beginning of a huge Darknet pedophile ring which busted last year.

Without the uncontrolled Bitcoin Darknet, all this people would never ever have the chance to commit such bestial crimes so easily. Many Bitcoiners would rather burn $1,000 in a striptease bar than to donate $1 to charity. Many of them care about nothing but the own wallet. It's true. Scroll through this forum!

No, not Google is the internet. The world of the DeepWeb and Darknet, that is 99% of the whole internet. What you are looking for on a daily base is only 1% of everything, that exists. That means, that 99% of all internet crime is committed in the Dark Net, and the only "currency" to pay for that crime, this is Bitcoin.

    Nothing else!

    looooooool

All in Germany? You have a problem there, dude...
I'm planning to visit Berlin, Hamburg and Munich this coming spring but, hey, I'm really scared right now.
There is a German guy here to confirm all this mess in Germany, please?
Since I have always with me my Ledger Nano... I would not be robbed, stabbed, sexually violated and/or approached by drug dealers and murderers.

Man... try to look at the world on another perspective. We all know that there is a dark side of humanity... but...
You remind me a fairly old Coca Cola's spot:

There is a better world outside, if you want. Watch the video and brighten up your day. You need it. Otherwise... get an exorcist.

Edit: I forgot that part of the video, crazy.

Underpaid Russian nuclear scientists arrested for a secret Bitcoin mining plot

After the demise of USSR many underpaid scientists, nuclear material and knowledge was at once available to the world. Some scientists remain present.

At the Federal Nuclear Centre in Sarov, a forbidden area or ordinary people, a fistful of scientists tried to connect the legendary supercomputer to the internet to mine Bitcoin. The supercomputer was already used during the era of USSR to program and produce nuclear warheads.

When they started their plot, Alert Red was immediately initiated. Within a blink of an eye, they were handed over to the FSB (Federal Security Service), which is no cakewalk.

Bitcoin Therapy Hotline (Open weekdays 10a-5p EST): +1-305-791-4911

Tested it some minutes ago. When you let it ring outside of therapy hours 10+ times, you'll be welcomed official to the Bitcoin Therapy Hotline by the voice message of an answering machine.

I don't believe, they'll call back, but at least one has the chance to say something, I don't know what, e.g. "Fernanda, do you want a child from me?" or cry about Bitcoin or the Bitcoin critics or just moan into the phone as you do it in your daily life.

    $50,000,000 Bitcoin stolen

Crypto-Gang "Coinhoarder" from Ukraine captured with Blockchain Wallet imitation and phishing $50,000,000!

Now they get busted with the help of Cisco experts.

They used ads like this to lure the prey:

Ukraine Cyberpolice busy 24/, because such Bitcoin Hackers you'll find not so often in a garage in West Virginia or in the backroom at a restaurant in the Normandy.

Ukraine Cyberpolice is busy 24/7 with "LAMERS!" (idiot who clicked on 'blockchien.info'. Super idiot) that they forgot the real Hackers... lol!

Hackers stole $6 million from Russian bank via SWIFT system: central bank

Please, note: SWIFT system. Not Blockchain.

Today, Bitcoin value $10773 (right now).

If you put away your senseless (not so much senseless... a nocoiner is always a nocoiner) livery against crypto and you had invested, let say, €100 on Feb 6th on Bitcoin... if you had come back today in FIAT (€)... today you would have €172,30. A rough 72,2% gain.

Another train missed, Zeitung. Another train missed...
