I know people are probably going to cringe at me when I say this, but I LOVE Geordie Shore.
It doesn't require extensive brain power to watch it, and they are just ridiculous.

I hate hate HATE Jersey Shore. I thought that show was retarded, but Geordie Shore is awesome.

I loved the Valleys too but they only made about 5 episodes of it

As far as trash TV goes, Geordie Shore is quite entertaining! Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents is amusing too if you haven't seen it - they get 16-18 year olds going off on their first lads/girls holidays to Malia, Magaluf, Ibiza and places like that but send their parents along too to spy on them. Can be hilariously cringeworthy.

On the more serious side of things, I can't believe no-one's mentioned Sherlock! The first two series are fantastic and I can't wait for the next one. There's a similar concept US series called Elementary that I've been watching recently which is also great.

I love Elementary and am looking forward to seeing Sherlock. One new show I can recommend is The Americans. It's about a married Russian couple living and operating as sleeper agents in the U.S. in the early 80s. The show is absolutely brilliant. Some (including me) have called it a show about marriage with a spy drama wrapper. But the spy craft work is integral to the story and realistic -- they have various retired agents vetting it for reality. Very well written with excellent acting and directing.

Elementary is a great show, I watch it actually watched it last night. I always compare Holmes to the Mentalist and he never lives up to Jains tricks.

Thanks Luke, I'll definitely check out Sherlock, just checked and it scored 9.2 on IMDB!

I thought the main actor's face looked familiar too, he's in that new Star Trek movie coming out soon

Absolutely have to agree. The Americans on FX is the best new show I've seen in ages. I see a second season is slated for next January.

I watch a lot of TV shows so I won't list them all, but Game of Thrones is definitely my favorite TV show that I watch.

    It's everything I love in a show!
Haven't seen the other one but I will look it up.

Very happy that the Valleys got a second season. Can't wait to start watching that.

I found a cool show the other night randomly called Awkward. Anyone seen that? It's a teen show but I kinda liked it.

True Blood is about to start again too.. Can't wait!

Re Vampire Diaries, yet another show I love. When I was on holiday I bought myself a kindle and started reading the books. They are nowhere near as good as the TV show. Just in case anyone was thinking about reading them.

Is anyone else as let down with the new season of True Blood as I am?
So far (yes, only 2 episodes so far i know) there has been NO sex or anything worth even batting an eyelid at! I've actually been bored.
I hope this weeks episode is better. Otherwise I dont know that its even worth watching it!

    Disgruntled Erin Northman fan.
