Does using something like Buffer that automates Twitter or Insta posts drive more engagement or does manual posting drive more engagement, for some reason we've found automated posts tend to get less engagement, would love feedback or insights.

I struggle to get any engagement at all on social media.
Gave up on it entirely.
Would love to hire someone good at it that could bring in actual traffic and results, but alas...
Automating and scheduling posts sounds appealing though, any recommendations?
Engagement is determined by a variety of factors, not only by whether you program the messages or not. My general recommendation is to be cautious with Twitter because they are making a lot of changes and using certain tools is being penalized, and to try to use the alternatives provided by each social network.
To schedule on Instagram, for example, you can use Facebook Meta, which also provides interesting insights about your account and audience.
Hootsuite may be a good fit. There are others but that one can go across many more networks.
