I used to use Tweepi to follow/unfollow but that functionality seems to have gone. It says this is due to Twitter so I assume it has now been removed from all third party sites/tools? Does anyone use a decent site they can recommend that still allows easy bulk unfollowing over multiple Twitter accounts?
Ta,
Bob
I use a couple of sites that are each limited to 100 unfollows a day, ManageFlitter and Crowdfire. They have their flaws and take a bit of time but get the job done. Will be interested to see if anyone has a better method.
Just out of curiosity, why do you guys need a bulk unfollow tool?
Do you follow people just to get them to follow you back then unfollow to make your account look better? I've noticed people do this on instagram. It drives me crazy.
Good point Renee,
May all of those who do such things be unfollowed by thousands.

Yeah, I follow people interested in gambling in the hope that they'll follow back. If they don't after a few days I'll unfollow them.
It may be annoying for some people but it's the only way I've found of building an audience in a crowded market without paying twitters extortionate rates.
Posting great content is one thing, but I find nobody gets to see it without increasing followers with methods like this.
The Tweepi functionality isn't gone. All you have to do is get yourself Chrome if you dont have it and install "Tweepi Bulk Default Action (aka Select All) from the Chrome plugins directory. After than you can follow/unfollow in Bulk. The plugin creator is yaco2k in case you are wondering which exactly to download.
@Renee, creates a fake image in a way at first I guess to those that wanna bother with it. The thing is the "mob mentality". Looking around researches and hell you can even confirm it yourself after a while, that people are much more likely to follow you if they see a large group of people following you already.
I think this image speaks for itself and explains what you see: http://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/wp-co...wer_Graph2.jpg
It seems to me that following people your not really interested in following and doing so only on the hopes they follow you back is just a futile exercise in gaining followers that are likely only following you because they want to make sure you continue to follow them.
This leads to millions of people following millions of others they really have no interest on following, they just want to make sure they are continued to be followed.

side note: (You could change a few of the words around) I will link to you but only if you link to me.....almost all fake links.....and in my opinion this kind of thing certainly should NOT be a signal that engines put much value in.

Here are my thoughts on following people so they will follow you back - as Rick said you have all these "fake links". Basically, you have all these people following you ONLY because you followed them first. You are selling a product, and you want them to follow you because you want them to buy it, but they are not even looking at your tweets because they only followed you because you followed them. They probably are not interested in what you're posting.
IMO this makes no sense to waste time on.
Just my opinion though.
I see where you're coming from and it does make sense but I never unfollow anyone who is still following me.
I look at it slightly different, I don't want people to follow me back just because I followed them - you're right in saying these would be 'fake links'. However, me following them gives them a chance to look at my account, see my posts and choose for themselves whether or not they want to follow me back.
It's the only real way of making people aware of my account and the content I'm posting.
Here is a link that I think will help you. The article contains a list of 5 tools from which to choose from and also a short review for each of them:
Ok, it seems I still don`t have the privileges to post links, so I`m going to post the list here:
1. Tweepi (you said it doesn`t work anymore, so no use for it)
2. ManageFlitter
3. Follower Filter
4. Twitter Karma
5. Crowd Fireapp
These tools allow you to mass unfollow the people that are not following you.
I did a social media course that was subsidised so just a tenner and was told to follow/unfollow. I think most advocate that as the main methoid to grow your following. Other than giving stuff away it's the only way to really get followers. I agree, it seems kinda strange and ultimately would lead to millions of people following millions of people. But I think it works on the basis that lots of non-business people want followers as an ego trip (I guess, to put it in simple terms) so they are legitimate followers who could potentially convert, RT etc. I only unfollow people who aren't following me. Agree, seems annoying/sneaky/duplicitous to follow, get the follow back and then unfollow. I think that may be down to people either needing to reduce their follows to meet Twitter ratios and follow more people.
Anyway, thanks for the tool suggestions.
The the chrome add-on, that's what I've used but it doesn't work anymore due to Twitter/Tweepi
That's weird I just tried it and works fine.
Do you use free? The whole "Not Following Back" button is greyed out and when you click it says:
As of 3 December, 2015, Tweepi's 'Not following you back (formally Flush)' has been removed at Twitter's request.
Hmmm I use the paid version, just paid for a month to try it out. It will expire in a few days. Im not sure how the whole addon works either as "it crashes" quite often. Bottom line is, not worth the time.
The add-on has always worked fine for me but this just looks like a nice way to try and make people pay for the service as opposed to using it free.
