UFC 129: two title belts up for grabs

Two UFC champions put their titles on the line Saturday night as UFC 129 comes to you from a sold out Rogers Center in Toronto.

UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo makes his octagon debut as the heavy -425 favorite over striker Mark Hominick (+325). Then Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre looks for his ninth straight victory as he takes on grappler extraordinaire Jake Shields. No surprise that GSP is a big chalk in this bout at -450; a Shields upset would payout at a hefty +325.

In all there are 12 bouts to bet on, including a battle of former champs as Lyoto Machida (-350) takes on UFC living legend, Randy Couture (+275).

This is quite the card. Looking forward to the GSP fight the most, though I really don't think Shields comes anywhere close to GSP in skill. If anyone is in Toronto for the fight post here.

Good luck to all UFC gamblers. Aside from Brilz at Evens, I'm not seeing a lot of value at BetOnline for the better known UFC 129 fights. The odds do look a bit conservative to me. However, they do have Ryan Jensen at -120 which is a good bet as well. Indeed, I might take Daniel Roberts at +160 against Claude Patrick too. That's a good outside bet at fairly generous odds right now.

Im excited to see George St. Pierre fight! I havent seen him fight lately! Do you guys think he is better now than before? Or has he lost some of his mojo?

Tonight's the night! Either going to be watching this live or at my friends' place on a 6 foot projector. Either way, gonna be a great night!
