The administration can decide whether to spend the funding on tackling gambling related harm or other purposes

So they raised the money, claiming it was needed to operate and to help people with problematic behaviors, and now they just said, well, we will see what we can use this for. I am waiting to see what excuse they use next when they want more money. Helping people with problematic behaviors again?

Came back from a week-long vacation just in time for the latest UK nonsense. I have to admit, I almost missed their stupidity while I was away

I think both practices are problematic, just in different ways. High-limit lounges openly judge customers by wealth and turn gambling into an exclusive status product, while affordability checks can become intrusive and treat adults as if they cannot manage their own money.
Same industry, completely different regulatory philosophy...

Casinos should protect vulnerable players, but the solution should be clear limits, transparent rules, and responsible-gambling tools, not financial discrimination in one market and excessive surveillance in another!
