Default Ukrainian regulator tells operators to block online casinos

Urainian national telecommunications regulator NKRZI has ordered telecom operators and ISPs to block access to 32 websites that provide online gambling services. The regulator based its decision on a ruling by the court of Kiev, in the Shevchenko district.

    From Kyiv Post:

"Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, which was initiated, cybersecurity experts and investigators of the SBU checked a number of Internet resources that provided access to banned gambling business according to available data. Law enforcement officers recorded violations of the requirements of several laws of Ukraine in their activities,” the press service of the SBU said on February 21.

According to the SBU, the National Commission for Communications and Informatization Regulation, on the basis of the decision of Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv, blocked the illegal websites discovered by the SBU.

A pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 203-2 and Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues.

Well I guess that's only fair - I've been blocking Ukrainian traffic for years - as 95% are silly hacking attempts searching for admin files and login pages. There is very little useful traffic from that country.
