The ultimate guide for making money and getting traffic from Twitter

Hello,

after posting my thread about the free links and blog posts and get the reactions on it, i decided to give you another "gift". In fact is a technic that i used few months ago, but I'm sure that works bow time and will work in the future to.

I used to make some money online, and you can use it to promote directly your affiliate links or you can use to get some traffic to your site. And now i mean REAL TARGETED TRAFFIC. NO, this is not a technic from a marketing guru, promising the Sun and you get only a star. It's a simple and easy to use stuff, you don't need any technical or marketing skills for this, you need only few minutes.

So let's go:

1. step: You will need a Twitter account, you can get one for free by signing up here: hxxp://twitter.com/signup .Takes only about 2 minutes, and it's ready to go. Verify your account from the email sent to you after registration. Probably that you will be automatically logged in but if not, than just log in and go to the top right corner of the site and click "Settings". On the top navigation click on "Profile" enter your website address and in the "Bio" section write something about yourself or about poker. Change your Avatar, use something cool and click "Save". After this go to "Design" in the top navigation and change your theme, put a new background or something but make it special, and don't look like a just registered account.

(Tips: If you are going for traffic, at the registration you can use as your user name your URL, or your brand BUT if you go for money, and you want to advertise only your affiliate links, than choice something general about poker, casino or gambling.

When you are changing your avatar, than it's cool if you use your sites logo or something from your brand, BUT if you want to see real results, than pick get a picture about a sexy girl and use that. You will be shocked... trust me.)

2. step: Now that you have your Twitter account and you are logged in go to Twitter homepage, and in the box on the top, write something about poker or casino, general stuff, what you want, you can post some links to to some big poker portals and such stuff. This don't realy matters just make around 10 tweets about your niche to don't have a blank profile.

After this go to Google Alerts (hxxp://www.google.com/alerts), if you don't have a Google account than register one and Sign In. At the "Search terms" section tipe in your niche (poker, casino, bingo or something more targeted about these like poker bonus offer, poker bonus codes, bingo tournaments). On the tropdown boxes select these: Everything / as-it-happens / up to 20 results / Feed Click "Create alert".
You will see a list on the next page that contains the newly created alert. On the right side of the alert you will see a feed icon (Orange block). Right click on it and copy link location, if your browser not supports link copying than just click on it and copy the URL of the page that you have opened.
The list probably will be blank, but don't panic, just note down this URL (The feed address of your alert)

3. step: Go to Twitter Feed and register a free account at hxxp://twitterfeed.com/users/new Takes only few seconds, if needed than activate your account from your email address and Sign in to Twitter Feed. Now you must to be on your Twitter Feed Dashboard, but if you're not you can navigate there from the top menu. Click on the "Create new feed" button, here select a feed name and enter your feed address that you have noticed down in step 2. Press "Advanced settings" and set the needed settings that you want and update frequency, post content and others. For me the settings are seted on 30 minutes, 5 posts at a time and the post content to Description only and the post link is NOT checked, we don't want other links now.

Now the most important thing, you see here two boxes, the post prefix and the post suffix. Here you can insert OR your websites link OR your affiliate link OR both (one in suffix and one in prefix). Shorten down your URL's with byt.li or other service but DON'T keep them unmasked.

Click "Continue to step 2", on teh upcoming page click on "Twitter" and click on that big blue button to authenticate with your twitter acount (please sign in to twitter before pressing it), click on "ALLOW", you will be taken back to Twitterfeed, you can now click teh "Create service" button and after this teh "All done!" button.

(Tips: As i mentioned you can add one link in suffix and one in prefix, what i do is that i added a keyword in the PREFIX like PokerTips - , BettingTips - , PokerNews - , GamblingNews - , or something similar and in the SUFFIX i added my link. So looks like, there is a post about that you write in the tweet and theres a link in the end to that post and generates more clicks.

For the feedname use your keyword that you have used at the Google alerts search, so you can track them more easily)

4. Step: Now you will have fresh tweets every 30 minutes, so this is ok, now you need only peoples to read and click on them. For this you will need to use a software, you can do it manually, or using websites how you want but i use a free software called "Auto Twitter Bot", you can find and download this great software here: hxxp://autotwitterbot.com/download.php (UPDATE!!! The site is down. Please check the footer for new source of the bot.) using it is realy easy, but i will help you in this to. Now you need to find a bigger profile on Twitter about poker, for poker let's say hxxp://twitter.com/pokernews or something, just search in Google for "site:twitter.com inurloker" (poker or your keyword or niche) when you find one profile visit it, if it's not enough big (more than 1000 followers) then brows in his "Following" and "Followers" list. You will find one, you can be sure.

If you found the profile that you can use, click on the "Followers" link in the right sidebar and note down the URL of the page, For me is now hxxp://twitter.com/PokerNews/followers . If the url off the followers list is nted down, you are good to go.

5. Step: Now that you have all you need, then start the program that you have downloaded in step 4, if you forgot it than you can do it here: hxxp://autotwitterbot.com/download.php (UPDATE!!! The site is down. Please check the footer for new source of the bot.) You can download the .EXE version to, is a small standalone application, you don't need to install it just run it.

After start, in the menu click on "Manage Acounts", click "ADD" and enter you Twitter user name and Twitter password used at registration and click "ADD". The account will appear in the list, select it by clicking once on it and click the "Login button". This takes few seconds, and when you are logged in and you see your profile get the profile follower list URL noted down in step 4 and paste it in the top navigation bar and hit Enter or click on "Go". When loaded in the menu click on the "Follow All", and you are done. You have to wait around 5 minutes until you get 1000 or 2000 peoples on your following list. After reaching this number, Twitter will notify you that you can't folowe more peoples at this time. Close the software an thats all.

(Tips: If you minimize the Auto Twitter Bot will disappear and will be moved as a small icon to the right down corner of your screen. Runs in background so don't matters if you leave it opened or minimized)

6. step (Optional): Now you have to wait around a week, and after a week check your twitter account and you will see that you have hundreds off followers. Now if you have time, you can one more week to get more followers, but if you don't want to wait, than go to hxxp://refollow.com/refollow/index.html and click "Secure login" (before clicking log in to your Twitter account), click on "Allow".

You will be redirected and you will see some images and such stuff, on the right side you see a table, theres something like "My followers & following" at the first (Following) click "All" (small caps) wait until the site loads. Go to the top of the page and select "I'm Following " and "Not Following Me" the list will be regenerated, at the right side click on the "Select all" (or "Select page") and after this click on "Unfollow".
Now you will remove those peoples who don't have followed you back, and you can starts the software again, log in to your Twitter account and follow other peoples, from this you will get another few hundreds of followers and so on.

So peoples that would be, don't think that you have saw this elsewhere while it's mine however, hope that i wrote so that can be understand by everybody. And i hope that i don't made to many grammatical errors, i tryed my best You can buy such tutorials on other places for 47-79 bucks, now you get it free. and you don't have to invest something in it.

However this is only the base, you see that you can use unlimited accounts, unlimited profiles and so on. Now, think a little. When you wait that week, until peoples follow you back, you can create at least one account a day, that means 7 accounts, and means at least 300 follower / account who gets in every 30 minutes your link. This means 2100 peoples, and this is only when you run only ONCE the software on each account. You can do that you create only the accounts, 5 minutes a day, following them with this software another 5 minutes that is complete AUTOMATIC. This means 10 minutes a day and you leave it, you skip step 6, you don't need to bother with them, the accounts will be updated automatically, new followers will come automatically, you have to sit back and to watch

With Twitter feed you can do it with Facebook to, or other services, or you can use other tools. I showed you this why this is easy for beginners and that's why i wrote so explained.

However, this would be all for now, so to i will come to late to my girlfriend, since writing this post since few good hours.

Yeah mate, this works for real. For unfollowing u can use the same software to, maybe it's faster than with this website. There are many more sites and applications like these, so if you see results, make a hunt around and collect the best sites and softwares that you can use.

Well, I have to say, that I followed the directions to a tee, and yes, this does work. However, 2 hours after getting about 25 new Followers to my Twitter Account, my account was "Suspended" by Twitter, for "abnormal activity". I did not receive an accompanying Email - this information was just stated online, when I logged into my Twitter account. So, please be forewarned.

I used all the parameters outlined by the OP, and I used the identical "pokernews" feed, that was mentioned in the instructions. Simple but clever solution, but it looks like Twitter may be onto this slightly deceptive practice.

In any event, I am not devastated by this, since I don't actively use my Twitter account a whole lot, and I can always create a new account using a different Email Address.

So, for anyone trying this method, I strongly suggest that you use a test or dummy account, that you would not mind losing. I wouldn't risk this implementation with a Twitter account that is being used actively. You may not like the end results.

Further to message above, it looks like Twitter doesn't like the "aggressive following" practices, and that I can appeal my suspension -- sort of akin to me being a professional baseball player, who was caught with drugs in my bloodstream.......Anyway, here's what it says on the Twitter site:

"If your account was suspended for aggressive following behaviors, you'll need to confirm that you've removed all prohibited following automation from your account, and will stop any manual aggressive following behavior. You can find information on following automations and permitted following behaviors on the Following Best Practices help page. To expedite your appeal process, please review that help page and be sure to include your confirmation when you file your ticket."

Looks like the OP did a good deed by sharing his technique, but having everyone try this, may have cost him the technique moving forward. I'm thinking of hiring Johnny Cochrane (or some equivalent high-priced attorney) to help me with my appeal

I was told by another webmaster to try to keep the maximum people I follow a day to around 100-200 and have not yet had my Twitter account suspended. I dont think there has ever been a defininte number you can definately follow in a day but 200 or so seems to fly under their radar.

I was also told to try to keep my following/followers ratio not too far apart - if the gap suddenly widens it can definately trigger an alarm in the Twitter system. I believe suspensions are only temporary and it is easy to appeal the ban - Twitter seem fairly benevolent in that respect.

This WAS a great method, and good if you don't mind tons of accounts going away, is no biggie as easy to make new ones.

Thank you all for your feedbacks. When i used this method i have created around 4-5 accounts (don't really know) and all of them are working at this time to. I got some responses in Private from two members that their account was suspended. I can only suggest that someone say'd before me to use new accounts and not your own used account. However.. i think'd on this when i wrote the tutorial and that's why i don't mentioned to use your own account if you have any and begun from the registration of the Twitter account.

Now here is a tip: If you are using multiple accounts and you want to create tons of Twitter accounts, you can use a CATCH-ALL domain. I had a catch-all domain that i used for another project so i used this. Or if you don't want to use a catch-all domain than you can use new separate free email accounts. For example if you want to really create tons of accounts you can find many email registration bots for Yahoo for example, or you can buy already created email accounts with password for many free email sites.

However.. these are free account, you can create and setup them in maximum 5 minutes, i don't think that there can be any problem if you are deleted or blocked. I got responses in private that their are getting 2000 unique clicks in a week. And please i ask all of you to don't use the POKERNEWS profile. You can find many others. And think on that smaller profiles are MUCH MORE TARGETED. Sit down and find 3-4 smaller profiles and use them if you want to have a bigger success and a bigger conversation rate. This adds 1 minutes more to the whole process but who cares?

Creating dozens of accounts and managing them is too much for me. I would rather spend that time for writing and updating contents. Besides, I get some traffic from my twitter account, but I doubt if they also convert.
