    Default Unethical link building company

Just over 1 month back I got an email from this so called company:
    www(dot)advertising-sites(dot)info

They are based in India and the person I was dealing with offered to build me gambling links cheaply. He gave me some example sites and I thought I would do a test and paid $80 for 17 links. He sent me the report before I paid and my links were all up on reasonable sites/blogs, some of which had PR of 3 and 4.

Then after 1 week I got an email asking if I wanted more links built and the prices went from a few dollars per link to $40 - $100+ per link. I then checked my links and noticed half of my links were gone.

I contacted him and had no reply so I kept on sending emails and got a wooley reply saying he would refund me and get my links up... Its been a month and still nothing. I just sent another email.

OK, the links were cheap but if I had of trusted him and paid a lot of money for many links I would have been shafted (excuse the expression).

Just wanted to warn others about this company. I since keep getting emails from his colleague offering me link building and other services... I must be on their email database.

Does anyone else have such experience?

I justed checked the WHOIS record for their claimed existing clients and they are either registered in India or their WHOIS records are blank but all have the same NS records

If the domains are coms, nets or one of a few other extensions their whois data can NOT be blamk.

It can be hidden through a service but it can NOT be blank.

Please pm me the domains in question.

I PM'ed you the details.. OK they are not exactly blank there is a registrants name which is a URL and the nameservers.

At first it does seem like no details when I checked with whois.domaintools.com but I investigated further with WHOIS.net which brought up GoDaddy texts but still no name and address... then I noticed a link that took me to GoDaddy's own WHOIS where I found more info.... so Rick you are right they are not blank.

But the point is the clients they are claiming and have quotes for on their website are 4 websites all registered by the same person in the same way, all in India where this rogue company is based... and incidentally are where my links have been placed when I paid them.
