Vancouver iGaming Peeps Drinks Night

I'm always jealous of the igaming business socials in London (another great one last night I hear...) so I started a Facebook Group for igaming people in Vancouver, Canada. We're having a casual drinks night on December 17th.

I'm really looking forward to being there.

I was planning to spend the holidays in Seattle, since that is where I grew up and where my parents and most of my siblings live, as well as many friends.

I found the event on facebook, and so actually made my reservations to Seattle a day earlier than they would otherwise have been especially so I would be able to drive up to Vancouver that day.

Great idea, i was always wondering when Canadian affiliates would get something like this going. Wonder how many are from Toronto. Would be a blast. Canada needs more of these kinds if events for affiliates.

Sadly, our little get together was thwarted by Vancouver's freak white Christmas. We don't have snow plows and snow shovels here folks! When it snows we just wait for it to melt, which usually isn't more than a day. When it lasted for a month over Christmas lots of event plans were changed. We postponed our party by one night but still just got a few diehards -- me, Jodie Thind, Ryan Emery, Moses Meir and Krista Thiel. No worries -- we enjoyed ourselves enough for all of you!

We'll plan another informal drinks night, maybe in the spring.

Earn United hosted a Toronto iGaming Social last April and it was a blast. Well over 50 people, ranging from affiliates to software providers, attended the event at the Drake Hotel. We're expecting to follow up this year, so we should collaborate to organize a more successful event this year.
