on another note. I added a few links that have been recent topics in the last few weeks to their search Cardspike and absolute slots. both were not in their database so I submitted them. They will be available soon. The program tells you what links to the actual site so it should be interesting.

A few of my sites are red-flagged simply because I link to certain Microgaming casinos.

So, because I link to a site that someone else flagged, my site is also flagged? Guilty by association, I guess. What a joke.

    One warning states:

When we tested this site we found links to alljackpots.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs.
    Not very happy about this.

The results I obtained are as follows: Poor Brightshare and even Alexa is yellow. But at least GPWA is green!

A lot of these SpyWare tools pick up on Microgaming's "ActiveX" download that is installed with their software and then goes on to flag this as SpyWare, which in definition it is, but we all know what MG uses it for.

its not just McAfee, way back when I had AGV installed and seached the web it would flag sites as potentially harmful.

Anyone have AGV installed to see if it still does it?

Yes AGV still does this. In fact when i do a google search, they put their green start/red flag on each result entry.

BTW - alljackpots isn't flagged by AGV

Any one test drive Norton 2009? IMO they finally got it right, no excess bulk, fast, offers secure login for affs accounts etc...

As most downloads the user agrees authorizing the use of spyware. The Google Tool Bar is classed as Spyware, so is Yahoo etc...

As for webmaster sites I wonder if the no follow tag would help or blocking McAfee? No returns for any of my sites with McAfee, not int their DB.

Yes, the new AVG FREE does this, as well. I just updated the wife's 5 year old lapper with AVG Free and it has this feature.

I've got the MCAffee subscription for my desktop. I'll keep it as long as it doesn't eat up too many resources. Or as long as it can still handle their software updates.

I wonder how much these rely on user input, though. Full Tilt comes up as a "yellow" with the McAffee site advisor. I wonder how much of this can be attributed to bogus Full Tilt copycat sites and bad poker players who lose their bankroll?
