Video Capturing Software

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any recommendations of a good video capturing software for Windows?

I've been having a look about, but I'm struggling to find something right for what I need: capturing, annotating and adding voice-overs.

Camtasia - Simmo recommended it to me a while back.

Very simple to use and great for what it is.

I've been looking at camtasia recently too. Not free (or cheap - around £200+) but it looks like it's worth the investment if you get a lot of use out of it. There's a free trial download:

From what I've seen that is available, Camtasia seems the way to go - I've downloaded the demo to see what it is like. From the preview videos it looks like a good piece of kit.

By no means an expert in this field, but I have been using the trial of BB Flashback recently and it seems to do the job - http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/bbflashback.aspx

CamStudio works well and is free : http://camstudio.org/

There is also Jing... xxhttp://www.techsmith.com/jing/ They have a free version available. Not as robust as Camtasia but depending on the job to be done it may work. I attended a webinar where someone used it in his presentation.
