She's responded to me - albeit a little slowly
What about payments, has anyone been paid this month by these clowns? Previous months, we were paid out by/around the 5th. It is now the 17th and no payment has been made.
I have very mixed feelings about these guys - I have heard they are a good crowd and was previously an affiliate for them, and they never gave me any reason to distrust or dislike them...but then again I made minimal money with them as I didn't promote them much, so I don't have too many dealings with them to draw from...however what I don't like is the following:
a) The reduction in commission rates overall
b) The further reduction for hosting your own content - and I do this specifically because there is nothing worse than having little crosses all over my site when the Affiliate software goes down. I have more trust in my own service providers than those I don't know. I also find it takes longer to download a banner when hosted elsewhere.
c) The huge reduction in the number of games
d) All my old Virgin players seem to have dried up since the buyout
e) The closure of the poker room
Simply put - I am somewhat disappointed so far, but as it is still early days I will give them the benefit of the doubt and stick around to see if there are any improvements.

Rumour has it that they are beginning to respond and basically claiming that we should be thankful that they have chosen to pay for old players - as they are under no obligation to do so.
And they are using that so called generosity to justify the commission structure going forward.
Sounds pretty arrogant.
And I agree with Heather on points A and B, and I will not even consider them based on Point B.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

If they are paying for old players then you can bet they are also receiving the commission from those old players and as our contract with Virgin was that we keep the players for life - then it is quite right that if someone else gets to keep our players then we should continue to earn money on them too, so I don't see anything generous about it, because they are still keeping more than they should by way of dropping all of our commissions.Rumour has it that they are beginning to respond and basically claiming that we should be thankful that they have chosen to pay for old players - as they are under no obligation to do so.

I do believe old players should be on the same rate you are on when the old Virgin affiliate programme was active

If anyone has regular contact with anyone at Market Ace (I see they are income access powered) - maybe it would be beneficial for them to be made aware of this thread so they can either see how silly they look or they can say something to confirm said silliness.
