Default Virgin Gaming to be sponsor of EA Sports tournaments

EA Sports is well-known worldwide as the developer of some of the most popular video games ever, including the Madden series and the FIFA series. The company reached an agreement with Virgin Gaming yesterday where Virgin Gaming will be the official sponsor of online tournaments for EA Sports.

The agreement covers "all head-to-head competitive play, pay-to-enter and sponsored tournaments for select EA SPORTS console video games."

The Casino City Times has a press release announcing the agreement:

    Default Cash prizes?

So Virgin are taking a skill game approach to sport rather than sports betting - I wonder if they plan to offer entry fees and cash prize tournaments a bit like the poker model.

    Smile

So, is it actually merging? As we can see, merging of two big companies in this industry to form a much bigger company is on the rise.. It also serves as an invitation to more investors.
