Default Website Ranks Well - No Signups

I have a mobile casinos website www.mobilecasinolisting.com that ranks well (actually 1st) for "mobile casinos" in the US but it gets very few signups. Per GWT I get a decent number of clicks for the terms "mobile casinos" and "mobile casino", 49 and 21 clicks respectively and a total of 319 clicks but in that same month I got maybe 5 new depositors.

Out of frustration I was going to sell the site but instead about 2 months ago I redesigned the website to be mobile compatible and changed to a mobile responsive theme in Wordpress. I was hoping this would improve conversions but it has not.

I have a good number of call to action buttons I think and plenty of places the visitor can "sign up" and go to the casinos. If anyone has a few minutes and can look at the website and share any ideas they think could improve conversions that would be great. I just don't understand how ranking so well for "mobile casinos" I am not getting signups.

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    Travis

Can you tell if the visitors are actually from mainly mobiles or mainly desktop.....

Can't remember where, but I read a theory a few weeks ago that suggests that users are generally reluctant to register to a gaming provider on a mobile (wherever they have to enter any registration details).

Sounds plausible. If the theory is correct (or partly correct) then it suggests either:

Make your page/site easy to share/bookmark (so that they can 'remember' it when they're at home on a desktop or similar)
Maybe focus on stuff where they can play free games without registering any major personal details, in the hope they'll sign up later

I just had a look at your website. Is this really a mobile version? I have also checked the rankings and have the same results. You are on position 2 with mobile casinos so this is very good. Do you think that 5 players out of 319 clicks is that bad? IMO this is average and still good. When you get some clicks then the call to action seems to work. Anyway I think you could improve this even more. When I hit the page I can not see within the first second where I should click. "Play Now" and "Full Review" has the some button there is no highlight. I think "Play Now" is more important. Maybe you could improve the button and add something like "Get $ Bonus now" or "Play Casino with $ extra"

Seems pretty standard to me also.

Are you giving players the right information. If you were looking for a mobile casino to play at what would be the most important things you would be looking for?
For example, I have an Android device and I want to find somewhere that has the Starburst slot. Where would I find that information on your site? I'm not going to click on a link that says it has slots, what slots? i don't have the time to look myself! I'm a mobile user and I need the answers quickly. Do you see what I mean?

    Hope that helps

Numbers seem alright tbh, especially as you're saying there were a total of 319 clicks - some of these probably come from non-converting terms to random pages on your site.

Plus don't forget that some of the clicks to your site will be from other affiliates and aff managers who are nosing around. In a low sample like ~300 and in a relatively new niche that could easily account for a significant portion of the traffic.

I'm also assuming that you've checked the mobile tracking for all of the programs you're working with? Some brands seem to be a bit ropey when it comes to mobile...

I think the main problem with US facing mobile casinos is that they don't offer the same quality and number of games like NetEnt, Microgaming, IGT etc.

I've tried some USA targeted mobile ppc campaigns in the past and the results were very disappointing.

Aside from SERP, is there any platform you use to increase your online presence?
How about promotions? Promotions are a great way to catch people's attention.
Online Casino/Gambling is a very competitive industry. If you want to get people in your site, think differently. Standout.
