Work in progress? I would throw away the whole design and use a theme which doenst feel like a time travel into the year 1999.

I'm with @casinoFM here. If you can change or improve the theme to a more modern look, then that could be better for the site.

By the way, are you running WordPress here or a different platform?

The theme does look a bit old-fashioned to me as well, though the color scheme works well to communicate the region it is aimed at. I like everything else though—navigation, layout, and especially all the subheadings and skimmable points in your reviews.

Everything else about your site looks good and I like how you have a green envelope icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. People will easily find it as it stands out clearly and contact you. Loading time was quick and I can see you've put a lot of work and concentration into your drop down menu and that's a plus to see. Ja I would change the theme completely. Something more 2020. I'd also be very careful with flashy gif banners. They can make a beautiful website design look very cheap and trashy.

I will respectfully disagree with you. I think some modern designs lack a clear CTA. Your design IMO looks good. The CTA buttons tell the reader where to click. The eyes are drawn to it. It's clear what you are offering and what the reader should do.

The irony is that you want to provide the reader with exactly what they want. If they come to your site, see a promotion on a specific game, and click the "Play Now" button, Google will penalize you with a high bounce rate.

Exactly - I have seen this with other sites that we've built in the past...
but I've always focused more on the UX and let the rankings take care of themselves

There is nothing wrong in general with a high bounce rate:

As long as ur user signals are good you shouldnt worry. Try out plugins like hot jar to analyse what your visitors are actually doing on your site...I have a bounce rate way above 80 % and i am not bothered about that at all. Readers come to my sites, read for a couple of minutes click an affiliate link, leave a comment or are satisfied with the information and leave. Easy. If i would be a visitor of your sites, i would imidatly hit the back button of my browser because the design is outdated and therefore i would assume that this also applies for the content.

When i opened your website my first impression was terrible. A spammy pop up, a email subscription field, colors causing eye cancer, a casino top list with a lot of bling bling....why the hell should i trust your site? Trust is in times of E-A-T one of the most important things in general - and here your design doesnt support your expertise. Have a look at the google quality raters guidelines and ask yourself how they would rate your site.

Hope you dont get me wrong, but i believe some honest feedback is more useful than nice flatter. And ofc i might be completly wrong.

Agree with most of the comments here, it does look a bit outdated, I'm sure it would benefit you to use some other modern template. And give up those gif

Also agree regarding Hotjar, we found it's quite the useful tool, you can draw some interesting conclusions.

Personally, I like your design which looks a bit more classic. My only improvement to you would be to change up your logo a bit, maybe have it professionally designed. There are many "logo contest" websites which you can take a look at and will have a few people competing for the best design.

To the OP... Mate, you've been around since 2008, surely you don't need people critiquing your work.

A modern theme doesn't always bring success. There's an affiliate (wont name names), who still uses Word to construct his html. His sites look amateurish. BUT... I can assure he's made a LOT of coin, and continues to do so.

He probably makes the type of monthly income, a lot of affiliate dream of...

And what is modern? Another Cookie Cutter WP site... lol!

UX is more important than ever right now, I would say as just as important as content and and links, content wise it just looks like small bit of info some play now buttons you8 have a decent link profile but unfriendly site with basic o nothing new info.. get those two right and you will fly
