Never easy to change/update design. It is an older site and maybe there are issues to be able to migrate to a new template. I haven't read all comments but agree with most that the desktop is a bit old.
HOWEVER; the site works much better in mobile!
It doesn't load all old flash elements. So since all players are moving to mobile anyway. Focus on getting that to a slimmed neat version as the majority won't be looking at your desktop site anyways. Good luck!
