Weekend is the time to social network hard

I pound social networking sites starting thursday nite to get my links in before the weekend. Use hootsuite and schedule those tweets all weekend long. Tweet about different relevant things peeple wanna here. Sports, poker, bonuses, sports games and make sure you brand your site and send that message out consistently.

You're absolutely right. You can take a rest from your other task during weekend but find time to post an update on your social network like facebook. Others might be willing to view your post on that day.

Thatz because most of the people have time and get online on sites like facebook, digg, twitter on weekends... same here.... I also schedule some of my blog posts on weekends and bookmark them just before the weekend and get more readers and visitors than what I get on the normal working days..

yup !! weekend is the best opportunity to do the social every networking sites. Because its holiday you also have some time with your friends to as well as the business networking. It seems to me weekend is best for we the working people to spend some time there with my friends

Yes weekend is the best time. If it is not possible during the weekend chose the evenings. Many people use facebook and twitter after work at about 7 o clock. I i am online in facebook at this time, most of my friends are online too ... earlier is not good because people are still at work and later is not good because most people watch TV, cook, read or spend time with the family.

Interesting. I knew that early evenings were more effective to reach your audience (through social media), but I didn't think the weekend would be as effective, if not more effective.

Are there specific forms of social media that you use at specific times?

Ie:
Facebook for evenings and weekends
Twitter during the weekend

Just a follow-up to this thread. I was inspired by this when I created the poll regarding peoples' use of social media.

The interesting results show that the weekend does not attract as much interest as the weekdays.

It really depends on who you target. As weekdays are great as well as there're plenty of businesses and potential buyers, you have to remember that people who work have more money to spend and most of them use smart phones with access to twitter and facebook.

This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. Are the weekends really more effective? Is the weekend really the "sweet spot"?

If you don't mind updating us on your weekend social media experiences, that would be great. I'm interested to know if anything important and relevant is solely communicated over the span of a weekend as opposed to a 5 day work week.

IMO there is NO perfect time as you will have better results if you are flexible in order to catch different time zones etc.

I network 24/7 (because I don't have a life) lol and it's paying off, but more so for my new SN site and not igaming.

The weekend is coming up so I will let everyone know if it works for me on Monday. I'll probably do facebook and twitter Friday night throughout the evening and continue to update them over the weekend.

Robin that is very sad and you need to change that IMO .My cousin Randy turned 50 January 13 and he is dying in a hospital now from Cancer.Balance is the key to Success ,every summer i take off Thursday afternoon until Sunday night for my family.You need to treat yourself to some ME time and learn to shut your brain and work off!I speak from experience

I'm usually out and about on the weekends so I'm typically more active on my social networking sites on weekdays. Mid-day is the best time to catch me on any of my social sites.
