Welcome Richard Bard as a full-time GPWA staff member!

I'm very pleased to announce that Richard Bard (universal4) is now officially a full-time member of the GPWA staff.

Rick has been an extremely valuable and active member of the GPWA and an affiliate for many years. In fact, as you can see in his GPWA member profile (universal4) , he joined the GPWA back in July of 2003, and at the rate he has posted since joining, he will pass the 25,000 post mark before another year is out.

Rick's always worked hard for affiliates, and has consistently stood up for smaller affiliates, and I've always respected the way he has worked for the good of the affiliate community.

He has actually been working for us full-time since late May, and was working for us part-time for a few years before then. Rick started as a staff member specifically to help us in processing GPWA membership applications. The volunteer review process just was not able to review new member applications in a timely fashion, and we asked Rick to help out because we knew he would carefully screen new members the same way he had before as a volunteer. Then, earlier this year with GPWA Jim's untimely passing, I discussed with Anthony how to help him through that difficult time. Rick agreed to help Anthony full-time, and I agreed that made sense. At the time we weren't sure if that would just be a temporary or a more permanent arrangement.

Today I'm announcing Rick is a full-time member of our staff because we count on Rick every day, and because it is about time we share that with everyone here.
