I think it is a lemon actually..............I can stop sending traffic no problem............BUT..........Quote:

I am mainly worried about my existing playersbase including the acquired players from other groups like playshare etc, as they are all in the same CR pool now.
You have not answered my question about why you still have not mentioned on your rewardsaffiliates website that cross promoting players is part of your retention program.
I answered it in the other thread many times already.
Can we get on with it now?
Cross promoting our referred players to all other brands for retention purposes was not part of the agreement when I signed up, and is still not mentioned on your website.
Rewardsaffiliates has not made those rules public on their website. Besides that the existence of cross promotion has never been communicated to affiliates.Quote:
GPWA conde of conduct :
- Responsible Promotion and Procedures
Sponsor Companies will be truthful in all promotions and publish only accurate information about their operations. Any rules and registration procedures affecting affiliates or the public will be made publicly available by the Sponsor Companies. Sponsor Companies will not use unethical methods of promotion either directly or indirectly through others.
You brought this up in the other thread, and it was discussed there.. Everyone can see the answers and discussions about it there..
I'm not sure why you INSIST on bringing up what is discussed in another thread in every single thread that exists about Rewards Affiliates...
Edit: I'm sticking you on ignore now so you can argue with yourself.
It is not the place to argue about affiliate programs anyway.
But just one thing : Rewardsaffiliates is the only microgaming group that I have a problem with regarding cross promoting our players. Isn't that ironic ?!
...........If you do not like our casinorewards.com flagship to be the place for referred players do not promote us..........is not that the best affiliate sales pitch ever..........
;-)
This thread has been derailed with the same arguments that have been going on for some time. Rewards has explained how their program works, if anyone has any questions please send me a PM and I will give you a call. I understand we all have different views on cross marketing and the more information we can provide about how a particular program works, I believe will help affiliates make decisions that work best for their business.
I want to address Puma's original post. I did not want it to get lost in the thread.
The links to the other casinos track to the referring affiliate. If anyone does not want the links, Rewards can get you landing pages that don't have them.
When you have an apple with a worm in it, the worm will always work it's way back up to the surface.
As long as there is unfair coaxing of players away from the tag they are under, these threads will keep popping up.
Rewards has stated it's position unequivocally, but that doesn't mean that affiliates are not still unhappy and will stop talking about it.
This topic will likely live on as long as the issue persists. You can close thread after thread but new ones will emerge as long as the issue remains an issue.
I personally still hold out hope that Rewards will eventually see the light and deal with this in a fair manner.
SEO it is now - it was branding before. Either way, it hurts us affiliates.
Even if one has provided the evidence it has a tendency here it will be swept under the rug rather quickly in favour of the sponsor program.Quote:

You have seen the GPWA/RA statement, it is final....any thread that will be hijacked for the same issue will be closed.

I had a bit of hope but I know they will not come around ; it is simply too profitable to let things as is.
<ACRONYM title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</ACRONYM> it is now - it was branding before. Either way, it hurts us affiliates.
Now it is both yes.
This is not fair as GPWA is working a way around its own rules, to not having to suspend a sponsor.
I am not at all saying that Rewards should be suspended.
It is a major program and belongs here, and Renee is a great aff manager. Responsive and helpful and she works hard at her job.
I am, however, saying that these retention emails are working to divert comissions from hard working affiliates, and in my opinion they are unethical.
With any other program I know of, retention programs work for affiliates as well as the casinos. Good retention is one of the criteria I use to pick programs.
But the way Rewards conducts retention, I wish they did no retention at all.
If only the links on the bottom were plain images and not linked, I would have much less of an issue and would shut up.
And no, I don't want to stop promoting Rewards. What I want is a mutually profitable way to conduct retention and cross promotion.

I am not referring to how great a program is and whether or not it should belong here, the point is they have violated the code of conduct by cross promoting their brands unethically.

Their emails are not the only thing you have to worry about, all players have to visit the casinorewards.com site some time for comp points and bonus info.
And no, I don't want to stop promoting Rewards. What I want is a mutually profitable way to conduct retention and cross promotion.
With 30+ casinos your players will end up elsewhere sooner or later, what they offer is very profitable for them not for us, like you said your self : "divert commissions".
/QUOTE
I have promoted them for a few years now but their casinorewards.com flagship and promo emails do not add value for affiliates only to rewardsaffiliates.
I have no other choice then to remove them as I do not want to build a players base ready to be abused by casinorewards.com for whatever they please to do with it.
Some players will stick to the casino they signed up at, but I do not want to be in a position anymore to bet on that.
Please don't hold your breath for that to happen because I doubt that it will in our lifetime.
I have to honest and say that I'm NOT happy with the position the GPWA has taken on this as I feel us affiliates are being screwed over with little or NO representation (or assistance) in this matter which is sad to witness.
This comment makes me think you haven't even read this thread Dom.
The links this thread were started about were within content on inner pages on our casino sites, which are used for SEO and ARE tracking affiliate links. How does that hurt affiliates? You're getting credit. What if the casino told you to stop doing SEO on your website? You run a business and so does the group. It's unfair to say that doing SEO, even though they are carrying through the tags, is hurting affiliates. Again, did you read this thread Dom?
This would then give affiliates something else to complain about. No offence intended, but no matter what happens there is always going to be people who find something to complain about.Quote:

Remind me again how a link that carries through the aff tag is stealing from affiliates?
This is what you said. SEO techniques. This is what the thread was started about. You said theft and you mentioned SEO techniques. The SEO links carry the aff tag. If that's not what you meant then you should have been specific.
I'm not sure what the point is going to be with starting a new thread. There is a 50 page thread already that contains all of this stuff.
The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, right?
Have you stopped your cross promotional emails?
You'll need to be specific on what you're talking about.
