Hard to say as it's still early but once you find out then google changes it up again, actually now >Im using some older tactics which i had changed about 2 years ago,

It seems that Google started to drastically change things up after every core update.
It was never this drastic and seemingly "random" before.
It's pure speculation and tinfoil but they could do these specifically to make any "SEO tactics" (which usually are black/grey hat) useless over the long run.
note to self to scrub image metadata when i steal them. =)

Stop using the "current year" in titles to make it more relevant.
On the one hand, it's good that google places more emphasis on quality, it's definitely positive. However, it seems to me everything is getting more and more "gambling". Sometimes a page with good long unique content does much less well than a page with very little content and subpages. I think that happiness is also important.
I have noticed this week google ads is dominating. Page 1 will have between 8 to 10 ads and 6 organic listings. 5 ads at top.. This keeps up it will be totally paid ads going forward.
Can you share the tactics that you are using? It would be a great helps
SEO Tips for 2020
1. Focus on Branding, Quality Logos, Optimized Images, Fast Site Speed
2. Less is more. You're better off with fewer quality links than you are lots of lower quality links.
3. Create a clever hook. Develop engaging and interactive content with a value added service, ie awesome free games, exclusive daily bonus codes, community reviews, etc.
4. Target Local Search. There is a wave of legal USA sports betting. Build state specific sites
Thanks and Good Luck to All!

fwiw i would say to you, sure everyone will give you nice general advise here, but be real:
1. these are your competitors.- they are not going to give you ALL the gold..
2. this is igaming - same rules do not apply here that apply in other verticals. some members here are doing some "dark" SEO stuff. it works. but they aren't going to tell you about it for many reasons.
my suggestion to you: take out a 7 day trial of ahrefs or semrush. do some competitor analysis and understand how people are earning their links, and what % of them are really earned. you will then discover why people are using some "tricks", and what the tricks are. You will also learn the value of other things like relationships for links... there are some things that money cannot buy.. [for everything else, there's mastercard, right?]
TLDR -
- get some tools, do your homework, see how the big players are crushing it for yourself.
- Data driven marketing is the only way. use a constant loop of analysis (SEO tools, metrics, monitoring) to refine and feed your strategy and tactics
- embrace web standards to receive additional benefits - teach yourself about the state of the art here.. microformats, schemas, etc etc. plenty of free tools to use for this aspect of things.
I am happy to run some reports on your competitors for you to turn some darkness into light and show you the value of these seemingly expensive toys/SEO tools (which in fact pay for themselves in seconds). Knowing WHY your competitor ranks helps you to plan your assault and expect success, instead of 'hoping' for it.
(s)he who dares, wins.

Analyze carefully the top brands with more competitive keywords is still the best strategy to start with. You should use a mix of tools (like ubersuggest, IBP.. and others) to get in-depth reports of your competitors .. never try to outrank competitors with spam techniques or services, as this is unethical, stupid, and useless.

People do not want to read reviews and long texts, which in most partner pages are general and pointless and subjective. However, for Google such content works. However, over time, I think that G will pay more attention (already applies) to javascript, UX, iconographers, etc. Today's times are fast and websites should adapt. What is important is own branding, logo, there are other sources of traffic besides Google, it is good to be recognizable and not be dependent on one search engine. In the case of bookmakers, I see more and more traffic on pages with statistics, results, price comparison websites. I think that such pages will always be needed and will be better developed than pages with reviews, strategies or types, you know if someone is looking for a review, there is a greater chance that he will convert. To sum up, in today's saturated times, it's best to come up with something new, or at least refreshed, and not another of the millions of pages with descriptions and reviews.

Well it depends on the market. Some are really with both feet in 2020 and you have to be a true expert to rank. Some others feel like going back in time with a time machine when it comes to how SEO is done.
The market you choose, the niche in that market that you choose, and the unique selling point of your business determine what kind of a game you'll be playing.
I can only say I'm very envious of the position of affiliates in large non-english speaking markets that aren't very saturated.
Professional bizdev can help you, the affiliate, to negotiate better terms with casinos. PM for details and a free evaluation of what I can do for you. All geos.
All of these are great points.
I Agree that you have to choose the Niche you want to target very carefully and do A LOT of research on the competitors in that Niche and also find the keywords you want to target in that niche.
I have noticed that making sure that your on-page is focused on the keywords you want to target, and that there are no Errors or Missing elements on your pages definitely helps (Super Obvious but sometimes overlooked) you get going in the right direction.
Could you please share what tool are you using to speed up your site?
Many thanks
I think one of the main things we have seen and will keep seeing is the fine-tuning of google's algorithms for Keywords. Google wants our content to be focused around the end user, website texts need to be less focused on keywords and more on E-A-T content - content that is Expert, authoritative and Trustworthy - this can be done in various ways but citations/ sources, quality length text and back links from other quality related sources can all help. Featured snippets. It is all in line with google's past BERT update, AI and Rank brain - we can expect authentic and good user generated content to really be what google will be giving points to. I also think stuff like schema mark up and other aspects of SEO such as featured snippets , interactive media etc will be given more weight. Overall nothing entirely new - SEO seems to evolve in an expected way - we rarely get shocking developments that we would have never expected or that don't make sense - penalising poor content, spammy links and the different updates we have seen over the years
In 2020, nothing will change.
Put high-quality links and write original content and you will be happy.
In any case, you are not competing with Google, you are competing with the site, which is a position higher than you.
