Default What is the best way to internally link your pages for a variety of languages?

I am using flags to link the different languages and all of the pages are on the same domain.

Is it better to link to the home page (for that language) on all of your pages no matter what the topic is about or link the english Blackjack page to all the other languages blackjack pages.

    Example A
<FRENCH baccarat French roulette, BJ,>(French BJ, French roulette, French baccarat) links to (English, German, Swedish and Dutch homepage)<ENGLISH, homepage Dutch and Swedish German,>
    or
    Example B
French blackjack links to (English, German, Swedish and Dutch blackjack page)
French roulette links to (English, German, Swedish and Dutch roulette page)
French baccarat links to (German, Swedish and Dutch baccrat page)

    Thanks in advance

If the flags aren't being used sitewide (linking to the homepage of the language) - toss that, it's worthless. TBH I wouldn't use flags unless absolutely necessary. I would much rather link using anchor text.

If I had say five languages, I would link each of the five languages that were related to a specific page together somewhere on the page *not the sidebar - only in the content*.

All homepage links (/fr/, /de/, /ru/) would be linked sitewide - preferably in the content as well on the homepage.

I would then use the sidebar or whatever navigation structure was in place to link the other pages in that specific language ( in addition to internal linking)- Basically a combination of both A and B

This is assuming you've created full sites in different languages and not just one or two translated pages.

So... in case I confused anyone

    Example A
(French BJ, French roulette, French baccarat) links to (English, German, Swedish and Dutch homepage)

    +

French blackjack links to (English, German, Swedish and Dutch blackjack page)

    +

French blackjack links to other French pages via navigation.
    - someone else may have a better way.

The best way is to create subdomains, get new A addresses and host them in the target region if you are doing this for optimisation purposes.

Use Google geographic targeting as well in WMC.
