According to a casino we work with, their instant play/flash casino has helped them bring in 40% more players. So I wondered what affiliates' experience is? Do you have higher conversion rates with download or instant? Thanks![]()

The trend has shifted more to instant play/flash play in recent times I would say - it does depend on the country/region. For example, flash play gets most of the action in Scandinavian countries![]()

That could also be down to the type of software that the groups targetting Scandinavian countries are using. Off the top of my head Unibet, Bet 24, Nordic Bet, Betsson all use Net Entertainment software for their casinos and up until very recently that's been exclusively instant play.
That said, the quality gap has been closing in the last few years as high speed internet connections make instant play software more of an option.

Yeah who wants to download a beast of a software client, which in some cases also leaves hidden folders intact when you uninstall it..? When you can play great games, securely and fast in your browser..

Great point thepogg about high speed internet connections - it's less complicated to play the flash/instant play version.
Now, a related question, would you call the product flash casino, instant play casino or no download casino? I see many casinos differ and I can't make up my mind![]()

I'd call any casino that you can play in browser without a specific download client an 'instant play' casino although 'no download' would be just as relevant. Don't really have any specific justification for that choice.

Thanks, I refer to it as an 'instant play casino' but not sure if players get it - might change the terms to test

lol I just a contact form this morning from a user who complained that we lied when we said our flash games were "no download".. Because his browser still had to 'load' the game...
I don't think a lot of visitors get the difference between loading in a Browser, like flash does, as opposed to dl'ing to their HD.

Yes I think instant play is becoming more popular. Now with internet speeds and the graphics what they are I do ot want to tie up my space with a huge download.

Instant play is much better for players who want to gamble straight away. I have seen it works much better than download version.
I would think instant anything would yield higher conversions since the point of entry becomes easier. The more hoops users have to jump through then the lower conversion becomes.
