Default What do slots players look for when deciding where to play

Hopefully- the title is clear enough. I'm just looking to do a bit of research!

Sorry, can't seem to edit the poll but if you could chose just one option that would be really helpful

slots players looks for various different things - I personally like regular new slot games.

Bonuses are good but can be a pain with high wagering requirements

To many players, slots games are the easiest games to play with fun. Even the noise of the slot machines may warm up your blood at a real casino. Pass with the time when it is goes by. Big jackpot is probably another attractive point.

This is an interesting topic which I thought would have received a lot more responses.

As we are not operational just yet I can't tell you what games will perform the best for online, ie old/new or jackpot/bonuses.

I can say from a land-based perceptive that people from different regions play slot machines for different reasons.
For example; High entertainment and feature rich slots work well in markets like Australia and the US. Eastern European players prefer simpler and quicker games and the ability to play at their own personal pace.

I know that slots with progressive jackpots attract more players that those without, due to the added chance of winning simply by choosing that game.

So I guess initially bonuses and Jackpots will attract players and regular promotions and new games are designed to bring a player back to the site.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi all,

Having been operational for a few months and from past experience in the market I have to agree this used to be the case. Players are still keen on jackpots but the European players are now also looking for feature rich games. One thing to note is graphics detail, people are paying more attention to how a game looks and getting it just right will make a big difference.

I agree with Alex that features/graphics are increasingly a big deal for players. Compare, for example, the types of slot games produced by Betsoft - they're practically mini-movies in themselves - as well as games like Iron Man 1&2, Blade by Playtech and perhaps Microgaming's Lord of the Rings with some of the more staid, simple slot games out there. I know which I'd go for...

I much prefer slots such as Thunderstruck II and Cleopatra II though but the slots that feature movie clips are difinitely popular

For me it's regular new games and a good starting selection, obviously the quality of the games comes into account too.

I much prefer the games with proper features like those that you find in the land based slots halls, things like rainbow riches and the who wants to be a millionaire slot.

A large volume of the same standard boring 20 line slot with a different skin just doesn't cut it any more. At least that's what I look for anyhow. But having spoken to an operator friend of mine he told me that their most popular are the ones with more features. So it seems slots players are really looking for is good features, but that shouldn't really come as a surprise.

So in short it seems that a high volume of games with quality features (but branded games are often used in promos because they help sign ups).

We are doing our best to add new content on a monthly basis, in all categories. I really stand in the middle with branded content and too cinematic, it does get tiring on the eyes after too many spins but for a short term player they are quite fun. Different game play and payout also will make a big difference.

Branded slots definitely attract more attention, besides that bonuses could do the trick (depends on the pay purpose though)

also I should've mentioned, certain countries love certain games, ie Germany and book of ra.

So the country your promoting in comes into account too.

I chose "Regular new games", I think players like to have variety and it is always exciting when trying a slot for the first time.

Oh! yes normally players look for regular slot machines. They look for offers, jackpot prizes, credits and many more. I always look for jackpot prize. I am very happy. Do you have any thing that offers heavy jackpot prizes?

First of all they need regular promotions (e.g. by email), especially the ones, stating some personal bonuses, as "coming back free 10 spins bonus"
