I believe all of the above are important, some more than others. I also believe understanding your business and data is critical. Understanding your data will help determine which of the above needs to be focused or prioritized.

AI is something that will increasingly influence our lives and businesses, but for now I see SEO as number 1 still.

For me, all the options are important, but I would say that focusing on SEO is the top priority, while keeping an eye on AI as well.

In my opinion, SEO will still play an important role when it comes to generate traffic. Second position is: AI. As in 2024 AI will grow even bigger.

All of the big companies, including Google, are placing their "bets" on AI.

AI can be very helpful in marketing if used wisely.

Everyone mentions SEO, but no one about diversification and new sources of traffic generation for the site.

Also, SEO can mean a lot. Is just writing an article paying attention to the basics of ttpu H1,H2, keywords, etc. writing an article or already SEO? So basically SEO is everything and nothing.

In my case, I plan to improve the content on the site, increase traffic.... That is, SEO. I'm not likely to publish new pages, and if I do, not many, first I want the ones that exist to be great.

SEO can be diversification of types of content too.

I think you are right about your approach to SEO. It needs to be content quality and paying attention to the things that Google rewards sites.

I'm still surprised that AI has some votes but it isn't leading. We should do another poll in 6 months to see how the half way point of the year is.

All is important, but I think podcasts will soon be the most popular. It looks like they're taking over as the mainstream choice for new affiliates.

    onlinebetdotcom,

Thank you very much for the poll. It will be the poll featured in our first GPWA Times newsletter of 2024.

As part of that process, I aligned the thread title and poll title as questions, which we always do for featured polls.

    Thank you,

Totally agree, SEO is still king for driving traffic, and it's not going anywhere in 2024. And yeah, AI is the next big thing. Big tech like Google is all in on AI, and it's a game-changer for marketing.

AI is super cool for geeking out on marketing strategies. It crunches data, predicts trends, and makes content personal. It's like having a super-smart robot sidekick for your SEO. It helps with finding the right keywords, creating content, and making sense of SEO stats.

But remember, AI is a tool, not the whole toolbox. It's awesome for boosting our human ideas, not replacing them. So, use AI smartly in your SEO and marketing game. The combo of AI and SEO is the future, and it's pretty exciting for us!

I suspect that before we hit June, the big task for many will be how to handle the combination of SEO and AI (although there are valid arguments the two are heavily intertwined already), so as to be one of the names that might benefit from the ramp up of SGE, if SGE takes us down the route of 'these 5-10 sites are all we ever need to answer 95% of user queries'.

It's really hard to predict what it'll actually look like, which makes it difficult to prepare.

    We shall see.

I believe a combination of all or most options are crucial. Smart use of AI will make it easier to implement some things (I'm not talking about using AI to do everything including writing content, human and expert input is still necessary). With a more visual-focused audience, the use of videos is a great way to share your information and with a high increase of social media use as a search engine, it's important to have a social media presence. The trend in podcast listening is strong with the newer generation which could be a possibility for industries that facilitate such media
