There are many dozens if not hundreds of online gaming affiliate programs, some good, some bad. I thought it would be interesting to find out what factors members view as being most important when choosing the programs they work with.

Which online gaming sites I can promote through the affiliate program
The reputation of the affiliate program based on input such as what other GPWA members say
The revenue share percentage or CPA rate paid by the program
Promptness and reliability of affiliate program payments
Prompt response to my requests and questions
Referral statistics that are easy to collect and track
Conversion rate for players at the sites available through the program
Retention rate for the players at sites available through the program
Promotional materials available to promote the sites like jackpot tickers or articles
Whether or not the program allows rogue portal webmasters as affiliates

First I ask GPWA members for some feedback about an affiliate program where I want to register, then I review the information about the affiliate program in the Internet, I read forums, press releases, and find a lot of good or bad facts about the affiliate program.
Second I read its terms and conditions, comission structure, current promotions, review its casinos, poker rooms.
And of course, the main factor is my friend's and respected webmaters'(like GPWA private members) recomendations.
If it's ok, I sign up and promote them, but if during the first 3 months I see something wrong in my stats I remove them.
I like responsive programs. Will they talk to me, answer quickly, provide promotions, solve problems. Will they call me on the phone? I'm a woman. I like the phone!
I like to be paid on time. I hate to ask for my money. Wagerprofits rules, eh?
I like programs with good retention practices. Frequent offers to active players. I watch our own email LOL.
I don't like to see player issues - but when I do it says a lot if they are solved very quickly. I read complaint forums alot.

this is a very interesting poll, but is there a limit to how many we can select? i look for all of the above qualities in an affiliate program so i would pick every one of them if possible
- Big Fish - Founder of Wagerz.org, CasinoOnline.us & SportsGambling.us
1. wagerz.org: Discover the best US online gambling sites for real money play. Wagerz is a United States online casinos and sports betting guide.
2. sportsgambling.us: Find USA sports betting websites that are legal and licensed in the United States of America.
3, casinoonline.us: Compare USA online casinos with fact-checked reviews of legal casino sites for American players.
yes, I agree with Big fish, I would select all items.
All of themplus i would add "payment methods variety" to this list.
I honestly check out affiliate programs here at GPWA first. There is nothing like reading about how affiliates are communicating sucessfully (or not) with Affiliate Reps.
I just signed up to represent an Affiliate program today that has a forum here. That tells me their program cares enough to become a member of the GPWA interactive family.
Communication is the key - their presence here at this forum is certainly a huge step in that direction.
