Default What gaming system do you have?

We need a new gaming system, and I'm trying to decide what to do.

Which system do you have and which do you wish you had?

Why is one better than another? I mostly do things like Nascar, Wheel of Fortune, Sonic, things like that. But I also need something to play football, basketball, and shooting and fighting ganes as well. Much as I hate them myself.

    Any suggestions?

    Got kids?
If yes go for Wii or Xbox360
    If no go for PS3

    Why?

Wii and Xbox have way more kid games than PS3

PS3 targets the "older" market with high gfx FPS games

    PS3.

It's a great media player. I stream all my content over my wireless network from my PC to my TV via the PS3 using a simple and free application:

    http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/

It has a Blu-Ray player, including 3D playback capabilities.

Playstation Network membership and online multiplayer is free.

The Playstaion Move is what the Wii was meant to be, and also has Wii-like game titles.

Classic PS1 titles are available as cheap downloads from the Playstation Store.

Free music video streaming with the VidZone application.

Seeing as Google and Sony have some kind of "agreement" in place, I would expect Google TV to become available on it (unless there is some kind of tech reason why it can't be done) as it is on the new Sony Bravia TVs.

Of course the other platforms (only really XBox) has it's own benefits, but I'm going to back this horse and see how we go

Xbox 360, but I don't really play much - other than the occasional late night game of halo when the boys are in town. For me it's a social thing so never really saw the point of playing on x-box live.

I prefer PS3 & Wii. If you like to race have you tried Gran Turismo 5 for PS3? I LUV that game and the new version just came out so the hype is huge. lol

I agree with most people here - PS3 is the way to go.

Yep, PS 3 seemed to have the most games to suit all of us, so went with that one.

    Thanks ev1 for the help.

My BF and I currently don't have a TV, as we thought this would dramatically decrease the distractions while we are trying to learn French (not working very well as we steam TV from the net! haha), but when we DO finally get a plasma, there's no doubt it will be accompanied by a Wii because of the interactivity for sports and dance games

I never thought of no TV being a great way to learn a new language.. Will definitely consider that for the next one!

Wii is awesome too.. You just gotta be careful not to let go of the controller and smash the TV

Beside Wii and PS3 I'm a major fan of the new 3DMartingale!
You can't lose, but you'll have to bet 3 times your last bet to have a fair chance.

3DMartingale is just released in Japan, and it's growing out of our hands!

Remember, 2DMartingale users will be automatically updated, our release is spread as we speak. Forget the 2x stake, we're talking 3x now! It's the new future, you can't hide, we're all going over to 3DMart as we call it!

    ..
    Nah.. Couldn't resist

OH NO! This sounds like a personal experience?? I think I more likely face the problem of smashing the controller through the TV while using it - my living room is tiny!

I would go with PS3. And you gotta get the game called "Flower".

It is a simple game but i found it very relaxing. All you do is control the wind which is blowing a flower petal, make other petals follow, and bring vibrant color to previously dead fields. But i found it addictive

I found you this trailer which you can check out if you like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJam5Auwj1E

    Good luck with your choice
