Question What is the nature of your gaming portal business?

For some members, being a gaming portal webmaster is a part-time job on the side. For others, it is their full-time job. Mayby by themselves, or with a spouse, or sometimes as an employee or owner of a firm with a number of other people.

Given that Aksana recently transitioned from being a part-time to being a full-time webmaster (private members see the thread https://www.gpwa.org/forum/officiall...er-171484.html, public members, see the post https://www.gpwa.org/forum/what-do-y...tml#post489172), I thought it would be interesting to find out the nature of other portal webmaster member's involvement with online gaming.

There is also a related thread started recently about what else portal webmaster's do when they're not a work on their portal sites (https://www.gpwa.org/forum/what-do-y...os-171512.html).

I really dont see this ever becoming full time, mainly because my heart lies in science - where my full time provides stimulus in that regard. Mind you, I probably find the internet marketing side of things more difficult - the skillset lies partially outside my normal safe zones.

I am going to say I am part time although the hours I put in are quite a bit. Mostly due to playing catch up and reading many posts in the seo forums to see how I can further myself. I am sure once I get what I need to so called complete my site it will run smoothly where I can logon add a few articles, and do some link building daily instead of working on the basics.

I chose "A full-time job for me in which only other family members are involved.", my husband helps me, he submits a site in directories and controls payments of affiliate programs. Usually he says:"today you should contact ... program and ask where May commissions."

I am not a portal webmaster, but an affiliate manager and my job is to keep all you out there secure in the feeling, that there is somebody out there who is on your side. One who is consistently working to make sure you get your rewards for all the hard work you put in. One day I will meet you all and you will find out for yourselves who this sincere and honest person is. Just patted myself on the back, if I do not then who will.

I probably work 6 hours a day as an affiliate as my other business runs alot of the time on its own without me having to work on it. As soon as I generate a larger income from the casino affiliate business I will dedicate further time to it. I currently have office space available to me in my gym building and want to get my casino affiliate business large enough to employ 4 or 5 staff and put them up in the office space I have. Like any affiliate these first 6 months are the hardest, google ranking are increasing by the day now but is all hard work. Yet, working as a casino affiliate I love, I often spend many hours on the weekend working on it for my own enjoyments when my girlfriend screams at me to put the laptop down and spend time with her.

for rob3786 : now the website is stopped, there are only submissions to directories.

It is interested to know, if the webmaster have some employees, how many hours they work ?

One webmaster can have one employ that work 2 hours to day and on that work 8 hour. there is one good differences.

I'm a full time webmaster, but casinos is only 20% of the time invested.
Casinos, without the US market is tough to market, so I have very few plans right now.
