Question What percent of affiliates entitled to file a claim against Grand Prive will do it?

On December 7th 2009 eCOGRA announced that it was hired by the management of Grand Prive to prepare a report on the closure of the affiliate program and to accept claims by any affiliate who believed they might be owed money from players for play subsequent to the time the affiliate program was closed.

Originally claims were required to be completed within two weeks of the initial announcement, but that time was subsequently extended an additional ten days to the end of the calendar year (31 December 2009).

Hopefully between discussions on the forums and through an e-mail message sent to the last e-mail address of record for affiliates that were known to have active players a year ago, a decent percentage of affiliates entitled to additional affiliate earnings will file a claim before the end of the calendar year at www.ecogra.org/grandprive.aspx.

However, any process that requires a response within a period of 24 days from the initial announcement with a communication process that will not reach everyone will not have a 100% response rate. What is your guess as to what percentage of those entitled to file a claim will actually do so?

Hopefully this poll will increase awareness of the deadline, and a few additional folks will file a claim and receive money to which they are entitled as a result.

And if you feel you might be owed money by Grand Prive be sure to share with us whether or not you have filed a claim.

I voted and filed and believe they will owe me a good amount of commission from the players that i had when they closed us out.

I voted less than 10% because i don't care if only a handful of affiliates sent in the forms, they still need to be paid!

I think the whole idea of eCogra asking for bank details deterred a lot of people from filing.

Does eCogra plan on handling the money themselves?

If not, they have no business asking for banking details....

If an affiliate files a claim, and provides an email address, and maybe even a home/business address, there is NO REASON whatsoever to provide banking details.

That is just one more database that has banking details for hundreds or more affiliates that is totally un-necessary.

I have asked about this in previous threads and never once has ANYONE provided a logical explanation as to why they needed bank info, and that has in fact kept me from filing a claim.

I personally feel they ripped me off many years ago with a poker player I sent them....I have screen shots of over $40,000 in revenue that they paid me $200 or so on....

Their excuse at that time was...."Gee thanks for helping us figure out that we were counting poker revenue wrong"

Funny, no one else had big numbers like that disappear from their stats that week.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
