Question What rule applies to affiliate program revenue on your site? 80/20 or something else?

Probably everyone knows the 80/20 rule - You get 80% of your revenue from 20% of your customers. Or 80% of your revenue from 20% of the affiliate programs you work with. The ratio isn't always 80/20. Maybe you get 70% of your revenue from 30% of the affiliate programs you work with.

Last year we did a poll of this sort about where your revenue comes from in terms of customers. You can view that poll and associated discussion in the thread www.gpwa.org/forum/learning-point-newbs-those-so-stuck-word-free-171975.html.

This week I thought I'd ask the similar question in terms of affiliate programs. What ratio applies to affiliate programs you use on your sites? Do 10% of the affiliate programs you work with generate 90% of your revenue? Or do 20% of the affiliate programs you work with generate 80% of your revenue? Or something else? Share your experience with the rest of us.

I've gone for 70/30 which is a fair guess to answer the question.

I've still really close to 80/20 on average. This month the curve was thrown by one particular player who has won so much that I have to exclude this months stats to make the poll.

I have voted for 95%-5%, but it would be nearer to 90%-10%.

I estimated 85 - 15 on The Pokerkeep for the first half of this year.
It would please me if it was more like 60 - 40... I don't like having so many eggs in one or two baskets.

Probably more like 90/10 for me but I push a lot of providers and need to buckle down to really promoting less, but better..

90/10. I work with a lot of affiliate programs, but only 10% give me good revenue, but now I see that soon it may be 80/20
